Who stays and who goes?

Bloomin heck what is going on here. A successful Margate will bring players on from a young age. The trick is keeping them interested. The set up is shaping quite nicely with generation sports and the 5 a side pitches being built. Every young footballers dream is to play for there own town (well that was certainly mine) but I wasn't good enough. Now I believe that the future for MFC IS bringing players up through the ranks and into the reserves and should they be good enough, then get a chance in the first team. I reacon you need about 4-5 local footballers in a squad that are passionate about their club. The fact is I believe Dan Dolton wasn't given a good chance to prove himself and many others too.You can't click with a team playing the odd game or 10 mins here or there. However i've been impressed with Lewis Smith. I reacon the best football teams have a mixture of experience and local players. Thats how I see it!

I do think that now is not the time to be saying who should stay or go. To say who we think may stay or may go is different.

i agree with eyeballpaul4, local talent should be mixed with the experianced players... the more young home-grown players given a chance will save the club money to invest in other areas (stadium and pitch) lets face it the 1st team player earns enough to pay for about 3/4 local players. ive wanted to play for margate since i was young as i watched them as a boy! local lads would play with lots of pride and passion.

i know trotty wants abbo to stay on...i hope chalmers and mitten do but i dont see that happening somehow, robinson will go, i think sappleton, macca, skins, pinno, hockton, jacko will saty donovan and proth might go the players from the reserves will stay with margate wether trotty drops them from first team not sure....
