Biggest load of bo**ocks I've seen on here for some time. Who exactly is it that needs protecting ?. In years of watching our two teams play each-other I've never seen any serious problem. Why not have a few stewards to shepherd us to and from a goal end stand if they are that worried. In fact isn't that what normally happens.

Finally - and I was hoping that this didn't need to be said but in light of some comments, it obviously does - there will be NO tolerance of away supporters infiltrating the home section (or, indeed, vice versa). Anyone deemed excessively under the influence of alcohol will be refused admission at the turnstiles. There will also be random searches of individuals outside the ground. In addition, we have a police-presence at the game tonight that is in excess of the numbers that would be deemed normal for a game of this type. We are sure that all genuine supporters (of both sides) will welcome these steps in an effort to ensure that everyone experiences a safe and comfortable evening.
