Afternoon all

Not sure were the connection of me, Guildford and Dorking come into this. It has been mentioned a few times now and I have no involvement with any side just don't have the time with a couple of kids.

 

I guess only time will tell what happens at some clubs over the next few weeks, but it was told here first.

Been looking on with interest over the last few weeks and thought it might be time to say hi.

 

Let me introduce myself - I am the current Chairman at Guildford and as mentioned in the Surrey Advertiser I will be stepping down from Guildford at the end of the season, but with regards to taking over at Dorking this depends on allot of things including the current Company that owns the club wanting to let me take it on with a group of other people that are behind me.

I don't think it is right to comment on the running of clubs on an open forum and everyone who has ever been involved with a club should be congratulated as they are giving up their time and only do things that they think are right for the club.

 

Though this Park Boy has made some interesting comments and as he mentions only time will tell if they are true, but this is not the place to decide if this is true or not.

 

Big JR - It seems you have a real passion for Dorking and all I can say is, if I am successful in taking over the club then there would be great times ahead.

 

I am also not going to comment on the lease the club might have or not have but what we must make sure that happens is that Dorking are playing football in the Combined Counties next season. If the current company does not have a lease then they will have no where to play.

 

Pass my regards onto Ray and I have no hard feelings for all the things I have heard he has said about me, I just want what is best for Dorking Town.

Having seen the comprehensive destruction of Guildford City by Bookham, I can't help wondering............

 

was Park Boy there, given the allegations that Park Boy and the current Chairman of GCFC seem to be the same.

 

You infer you are going to take over DFC, APM.

 

Well, I know for a fact that you were at Meadowbank this afternoon. Why did you not hunt me down ? I'm NOT a secret squirrel that hides behind false identities on web sites. EVERYONE who is ANYONE at DFC, AND Bookham FC come to that know exactly who I am. It's only a question away.

 

Oh, if you have so much interest in DFC and Meadowbank, then I expect to see you at Meadowbank tomorrow, (Sunday), to see the Under 13 Girls take on Merstham in a friendly game. (The inference being on FRIENDLY)

 

DFC aren't so analy retentive to stick with just a CCL Premiership side. We have deep interests with youth progression.

 

See you tomorrow, APM ??

Big JR - Thanks for the invite to watch the Dorking girls play, but I have any just seen this post as I don't check the computer much.

 

To answer a few of your questions - I totally agree that a Football Club is not all about having a senior side but being part of the community, this includes having youth teams for both sexes.

My first thing I wanted to achieve at Guildford was to have an Under 18yrs Team which I got of the ground and now have a great link up with a few Sunday Youth clubs that feed into the side. Dorking have done a great job with the link up with Brockham Badges and running the girls team and may this continue.

 

It would of been nice to of had a chat on Saturday but I did not know who you were until Chris told me who you were after you had left and after the way Guildford played I would not of been in the best mood, maybe another time.

 

Also you have implied that I might be Park Boy - This is not true, if you new me you would know that I would have a bit me integrity than in spreading rumours on a site like this and why I have stopped anything being put in the local press about what I am trying to achieve.

 

All I want to say is that there is always two sides to every storey.

 

P.S we might to re name this forum to our own personal site

any new comments or thoughts from the GCFC chairman now season is over regarding Dorking FC?

Or from the Dorking board?

 

When will we know about next season?

 

If he did take over would Bookham still be able to play at Meadowbank? ( that would be fun if the talk about Dorking chairman going to Bookham has any truth)
