There is another item elsewhere in the St Albans Observer to the effect that our President, Councillor MacMillan will be standing down from St Albans District Council and will not contest his London Colney seat in the forthcoming elections after 27 years on the Council which included two terms as Mayor.

 

Good luck to him from me.

 

I haven't seen him at a match at t'Park for the past couple of months actually, and I hope that all is well with him.

 

The piece in the paper mentions that he is Chairman of Bill Chippington Haulage, incidentally. I didn't know that. Clearly close to Bill, then.

Don't ask mate. Encouraged by the local hacks, no doubt, there are people who seem to want to use the back page of the local rag as if it was 'msn' [which, I am told, is a method of 'private' communication between friends]. The story seems to change each week and that isn't doing anybody any good.

 

No positive news. There are bits on the Dean Austin thread on here but that wont tell you much.

 

Rumours are beginning to reach me that we need several snookers to avoid relegation this term. Dark days, but there will be some light somewhere.

 

We'll keeep you posted.

Prompted by my own posting, I just picked up the phone and called Malcolm actually, and I am pleased to report that all is well with him. Pressure of business has limited his attendance at t'Park over the past couple of months but he was there for the Oxford game and he will be there tomorrow.

Why do you say Nigel Gibbs? Don't see a reason for that
Saints fans will have there own choices but as long as the board appoint the right man to take the club forward,Just like they did the last time with Colin.

If it goes the same way it did last time with Colin surely 'we' shouldn't be bothered about the new manager, more the assistant. Once the manager walks after the first game 'we' then get the real new manager

You do a season at Clarence Park, well in your case a dozen games in a season, watch from the Cola stand, help out a bit with the matchday programme, know the time of every goal scored for and against the Mighty Photocopiers from the Madjeski Stadium and where do you end up?
