Just looked on the Kent League web site. confirms 4-1.

The lads should end the season in second. Still a great achievement for a team that didn't exist this time last year.

Does any one know how many go up, or is it just the winners.

A win tomorrow v Greenwich at Hartsdown and the reserves are promoted.

Spoke to an eighteens parent today, he said it was a poor performance all round and that the VCD side were bigger older and more powerful?, always difficult when you play so many youngsters at the same time I guess.

 

Did sayCarl Barron went off injured Pratt injured?? No one playing to well, to many games in a short space of time me thinks.

 

Does any one know if any ressies are with the first team on Sat for the Hendon showdown??

TQA I thought if we wanted to use any of them they had to sign Ryman forms by 31st March. Kieran Morris, Allen, Rowlands, Stellon are the only ones I can think of that are signed on Ryman forms that usually turn out for the reserves.

You are probably right Porka not sure, I think they can make an emergency signing but no point if its only making up the numbers on the bench, shame I think there are a number of possibilities.

 

Also heard today the first team manager was at the game! which may be a good thing but you may find players start to do silly things trying to impress him.

As far as an u18 player tells me there were no parents of this age group at the game there was a player from first team there, not sure who. It seem that VCD played some of their first team players for this one. Reserves only need one point to go up.

With all the games lost to the weather et al the Reseves have done extraodinarily well to be in with a shout of promotion.
