Team for Saturday?

Recommended Posts

I cannot even hazard a guess what is going through Liam's mind about team selection.

The difficuly is we HAVE to win, but we have also to be wary of the leagues top scoring team and top scorer.

I presume DeBolla is still injured, but with everyone else fit and free from suspension, that sure makes it tough picking the right team.

I'll leave it to Liam this week!!!

Why do you want to change a side that has won it's last two matches scoring 6 goals in the process. You have to give that side a chance.

We played 4 at the back against Southport and looked what happened there. IMO Paul McCarthy plays at his best when part of a three at the back.

If you really do want to be a tad more defensive then replace Keeling with Opinel, otherwise leave well alone.

My only concern is that D&R have scored goals for fun this season - 91 in the league alone and we must keep that down to a few as possible on Saturday.

Whilst I accept we have won our last two games playing a back 3, you have to agree that Dagenham are just a class above Northwich and St. Albans.

Why?
We could keep them down to no goals and still not get the points we need.
We have to score more than they do its as simple as that.

It rather upsets the balance of a provider and a scorer though.

Chukki has it in him to be MacDonald's "Micky Cotter"

Cotter knew that his place was to do all the work so that Portway could take the glory.

Sodje is an impact player, far better at the moment coming on for the last twenty minutes and running at a tired defence.

A bit of a hollow record really considering they've had two more games to rack the points up than anyone else!

I'm not sure how anyone could label him a 'defensive liability' on the basis of his performances in the last few weeks.

That said, whether or not to bring him back into a winning team is a real dilemma.
