That explains why we aren't up with you at the top WW - you only have to play on it once a season! biglaugh

Great Shout!

OY, STEADY ON YOUNG WEMBERS !!!

Some people just luv a good whinge, don't they ?

Middle of the season - Buckets full of rain.

"Like playing in the Somme - Clods of mud stuck to me boots" (whinge, whinge, moan, moan.)

Just over a month later, nice sunny weather - Birds tweeting - Flowers blooming.

"Bleedin' dust-bowl" (cough cough); "Sprained me bleedin' ankle, the ground woz so hard !" (cough, cough - wiping eyes !)

It's called global warmin', and it ain't our fault, 'specially when local water bored and orforities stops yer from waterin' yer ground !

Cheers Wembers !!!!

Your always welcome at Meadowbank.

A very pleasant afternoon this Sunday afternoon at Meadowbank when the Under 13's Girls hosted a friendly against Merstham on the full sized pitch. Because of the heat, we played 3 x 20 minute periods, eventually losing to Merstham 0-1 in the third third.

I did extend an invitation on another post to a certain dual-personality poster on this forum who has delusions of grandeur, but needless to say there was a 'No-Show'

However - A wonderful afternoon was had by all when both sides and parents joined Dorking player Anna in the bar after the match to celebrate her birthday as guests of the Dorking FC Vice Chairman. Surely, proof that sport is alive and well and played in the true spirit.

I can't help but wonder if this spirit will be shown in the 1st Division of the CCL next season.

Answers on a post card from Park Boy, or any other alias would be greatly welcome !

well thank you supporter, must admit there are some [****!!****] holes that we do have to go to, some are a complete disgrace

Hey Nut - glad to see you got a game the other nite and I completely agree with you - there are some grounds that the Prem teams need to see to believe. I might not be 100% correct but I'm sure by the end of next season/start 2008/9 teams have to have lights - there are so many teams that won't achieve this.

Hopefully we will be a bit better next season - I'm hoping to be be back playing myself after another injury ravaged season.

Not sure who will win the CCL 1 next season (I don't think it will be us) but would expect strong challenges from you at the Lammas, possibly Bedfont, Guildford City and then Farnham and maybe Hanworth Villa who I thought were one of the better sides about this season.

Strange that we took 4 points off Worcester Park and yet they are in with a shout - wasn't impressed by them at all.

BTW I'm expecting Horley and Warlingham to go up.

hi wacko
playing again on monday against cb hounslow was not available today due to being too stiff from thursday.
you are correct all div one teams will need lights by 2008 season, we are applying for ours now, wiil you be back at the arena by then,
next season will be good hopefully we will mount a serious challenge and hopefully with lights and a few other bits we can gain promotion (fingers crossed). think bedfont will be no longer next season, hanworth are one of the better sides in the league and they have already got planning permission so expect them to be strong next season and they have plenty of money there as well.

We should be back at the Arena sometime next season. We will be ground-sharing with another CCL club till then. Not sure if it is official yet so will leave you to guess who wink

Personally I hope Horley and Warlingham go up and would be good if Bedfont Sports join too - the more local teams the better - 1st half of the season felt like we were playing in Croydon area every week.

Also how come Hanworth Villa have a lot of cash then?
