I would like to congratulate Clapton FC on their exceedingly high degree of sportsmanship at Brentwood last night. They applauded our Champions onto the field, then played in a most entertaining manner all evening , just allowing Mr Portway an early goal , waited and joined in all the after match presentation celebrations with our Champions and then applauded them back off the field.

 

I hope that Mr Woods can maintain the standard his side reached last night as it will be great for this historic club. As one of the players shouted to me after the game on seeing the Pearson Trophy - " That's ours next year " - who knows ? That's the mysteries of our game and keeps the pot boiling just nicely . Nice one Clapton !

The league will be fought between 3 or 4 teams like normal. The winning team will be the team who grinds dont drop silly points to the so- called lesser sides.
