I was surprised to read in Sunday's NLP that G&NFC won the Football Conference Youth League's League Cup on the 19th April away to Stalybridge Celtic. The Fleet won 4-0.

 

The goals were scored by Chris Shakali, Tommy Whitnell, John Akinde and Danny Stubbs.

 

The trophy was presented by Paul Scholes whose son plays for a Stalybridge junior side.

 

Did anyone know about this game? I can't recall reading any publicity about it. Surely we should be celebrating a success such as this?
