Hampton v Slough

Reasons why Hampton may or may not go up....

Bromley are away to Borehamwood

Borehamwood are in a repesctable 8th place and have won their last 3 games

Borehamwood are currently 7 games without defeat

Hampton are at home to Slough

Slough have only 2 points from their last 6 games

Slough have suffered 3 consecutive defeats

Slough are currently on a run of 19 games without a win

Slough have not scored for 3 games

Hampton are 12 games unbeaten at home

BUT...a point is not enough !!!! as Bromley have superior goal difference and would overtake Hampton, if the Beavers draw and they win

Bromley are the second best form team in the league over the last 6 games, behind Borehamwood.

Well the book makers seem fairly convinced it's Hampton's title. They are offering odds of 1-12 that Hampton will win and the correct score predictions go up to 9-0 which is only 80-1. Good value in the draw better at 13-2.

I was tempted Webby. I've had a few quid on us to pull off the miracle win. At 14-1 in a two horse race I could not say no.

But then it was long odds that we'd beat Heybridge away and get a point against Margate. Believe me I know that our chances of winning are extraordinarily slim but upsets happen and it sounds as if Hampton were showing some nerves on Tuesday. If we can get through the first half goal less it could be very interesting.

To be honest, I am not sure if I want Hampton to win....I know a lot of Hampton fans, and quite honestly they get on my nerves,

especially this season, when the Bees have been awful and the Beavers have done well.

However, it would be nice to see them challenging in the conference...

Therefore I suppose, I do hope Hampton get promoted, but lose at home on Saturday !

Hampton will probably do enough and go up. That is a fine achievement and whilst they may have splashed a bit of cash signing the likes of Hodgey I am certain that their budget is well below that of some of the bigger names in the division. If they do go up they deserve it and it makes Hodgey's decision to jump ship seem the right one particularly when he was criticised in some parts for lacking ambition by only joining Hampton.

i think we will need to play similarly to the first halves against chelmsford and staines, go at them and hope we dont get hit on the break, but for a lot longer!! i cant see us getting a win there but i think we can give them a run for their money just like we did against chelmsford and staines.

If you get a draw I will be more than happy (happiness depends on Bromley win).
