No doubt you will have all heard by now that another of football's greats has sadly passed away this morning aged just 61 of a heart attack. I thought it only appropriate to create a tribute thread for anyone wanting to document their memories of the great man such as the ground breaking white boots and his battling midfield display that went a long way to helping England win the World Cup. Alan Ball - RIP.

It's Alan Ball's funeral today in Winchester and I find it extraordinary that there have been only three posts on this thread since his sad death last week, surely you can do better than that and pay more of a tribute to the great man.

Things like this tend to appear on the more generic forums and, once people have paid their tribute there (or on their own club's forum), they generally don't repeat them elsewhere.

Potters Bar Town - I don't buy that, Cantos started an identical thread on another Forum and I've lost count of the pages it has run to in just a week, nobody from this Forum has posted on there as far as I can see so why not post on this thread.
