According to the Observer the 40,000 was for sponsorship and to buy 2 players (Obviously Archer & Watters) doesn't say whether that money was given or loaned but sounds like it was given !

I would be very surprised if anyone in the history of the club has put as much of their own time into it as David Tavener has. Some official recognition is long overdue.

I would be very surprised to see him move to St Albans as his day job is in Chelmsford and I think he maybe on a contract for next season already

He imo is a v good manager hes on a smaller budget than when edinburk was manager with other clubs probably such as Bromley, Chelmsford and Margate all probably putting in more dosh than last yearand we are still their or their abouts for the play offs
