Are there any plans for speeches and presentations after the game on Saturday?

 

Last year the supporters club provided a buffer, etc. Will they be doing the same this season?

I saw something about the Player/Goal of the season awards being presented after the game, haven't heard anything about a buffet or any such thing in the clubhouse.

There will be something on the site later today, but basically the timetable goes like this:

 

14:50 April Player of the Month award presented on pitch by Peter Lewis Associates (sponsor)

 

16:55 Player of the Season award (on pitch)

 

17:45 Players' Player of Season & Goal of Season in clubhouse plus some surprise awards and hopefully a couple of speeches.

 

No buffet this season.

Is the 'buffer' to stop certain people hurting themselves when they fall over after getting a little too tipsy?

If you need an extra fix of footy after Saturday come on down to Goldsdown Road on Tuesday 1st May to see how Enfield Town get on in the play-off semi-final for a place in the Ryman League 2007/08.

Depends on what Maldon do.(we can still catch Sudbury but they still have two games left to play so best to forget about them)

 

We're a point behind Maldon with a much better goal difference. If they lose on Saturday away to Potters Bar, we need just a point to go above them. A victory for us and Maldon HAVE to win to pip us.

 

Maldon can't take part in the play offs as they didn't apply for promotion. It was alledgedly the board that wanted this, not the players and manager.

 

Basically Maldon then changed their mind and decided they did want to take part in the play offs. As they had missed the application date the FA quite rightly told them they couldn't compete in them.

 

As a result the manager has left and gone to another club and the players are not happy that their potential promotion bonus has gone up in smoke. Therefore some dissent in the ranks.

 

Think we have a good chance of sneaking in. After that who knows.

Ho ho, Sudbury lost tonight in their game in hand so we only need to better their result on Saturday to seal a play off place.

I sense an element of sarcasm in your posting Laz! Don't be too cocky though as one of these teams [Enfield Town or Canvey Island] are likly to gain promotion this year and will be only one division below the Saints in 2007/08.

More than just an element, although, partly, it is aimed at Yellow's enthusiasm.
