Paula - This post proves that you don't actually want to come tonight and working late is an ideal excuse, if you wanted to come you would make sure you got the time off particularly as Local Authorities wouldn't normally expect their staff to work until 6.30pm on a Friday. Anyway I can't see Bitch showing up so your excuse holds even less water.

Rhodes I have the CPA and JAR inspectors in - they are deciding on the scoring to give the LA and my dept. Stats also have to be run at close of business on a Friday night and also reconciliations of all payments received by my cashiers. Unfortunately management is a bit thin on the ground here due to annual leave and the like and as this is my first full week worked in the last seven I really cant complain.

There are NO excuses - it is a fact of life. I HAVE TO WORK!!

Paula - Thanks but I still don't believe you wanted to come, if you didn't have to work then you would have found another excuse.

TheSpursFan - It's not the first time and I'm sure it won't be the last. Coming back to the topic of this thread I don't necessarily agree that Brimsdown's Clubhouse is as bad as the poster below makes out, sizewise it must be one of the biggest in the Premier Division with sky tv, a large and well stocked bar, a large Committee area that doubles as a snooker room and is well situated next to the pitch, what more do Enfield Town want:

Lets be honest the whole clubhouse....... and I use the term "clubhouse" losely ......could do with bulldozing, one blessing in the coming season is the smoking ban, the clubhouse use to resemble a northern working mans club on a friday night, you had trouble seeing the bar through the smoke, is there any extraction fans or air con? the toilets are disgusting, & the kitchen area looks like a serious health hazard.
The sooner the council get their finger out & their act together the better, weather Its in my lifetime or not is another matter.

I think it's just sour grapes on Enfield Town's part, the toilets were spotless when I went for a jimmy riddle back in March when we were last there, you could eat your dinner off the floor.

It was just an observation because the floor was so clean so I don't understand what Enfield Town are complaining about. Also we were treated like kings in the food department, Haringey Borough style, and nobody got food poisoning so I'm sure the kitchen is as clean as the toilet.

I will just pull you up on one thing however, The Football Foundation awarded ENFIELD TOWN the money to purchase the two stands and they remain our property.Brimsdown were awarded money to build fencing/walkways/turnstiles..etc.Brimdsdown are well aware of this, and we have recently clarified this fact with both them and The Football Foundation.
PS..The reason so few Town fans currently use the bar on matchdays,is directly related to the rude and unwelcoming attitude we receive when we do venture in.

I told you this one would run and run, it's strange as Brimsdown Rovers were the friendliest Club we played last season and told us that we were by far the best footballing side in division one.

As far as the stands go you may have a point but remember who's ground they are in. You cant exacly fold them away after each game now can you.
Rude / unwelcoming attitude? So what do you want then ? RED CARPETS - FANFARES - CHEERLEADERS - APPLAUSE or may be even TICKERTAPE when you walk in . I see no evidence of what you are saying, Must be your imagination working overtime.

And the handbagging continues unabated, this is the Brimsdown Rovers response to the post above.
