Hollie - Yes congratulations to Brimsdown, they will be an interesting acquisition to the Premier Division next season, are you one of the Goldsdown Road faithful, if so where have you been all season.

Hi Rhodes,

I never really post on the forums anymore. Have been a member for 3 to 4 years. I would not call myself one of the faithfuls, there are people who have supported them for many years, but have had a soft spot for them for about 12 years. Brimsdown was my sons first team, at under 9s to under 11s. He re-joined them about 18 months ago and Its like 'going home'. He had been injured since October but is back now and played for the 1st team the last 2 weeks. Came on as sub last week, and played about 60 minutes today.

Hollie - Thanks for this refreshing post posted in all innocence simply for the pure love of the beautiful game with no hidden agenda's, Potters Bar Town should take a leaf out of your book. Kentish Town Football Club wish Brimsdown Rovers and your son good luck for next season in the Premier Division, they have worked hard and deserve their success both on and off the field of play, the infrastructure at Goldsdown Road is firmly in place and in Gordon Boateng they have a good Manager but not a brilliant one and if things don't immediately go his way he may well start to throw his toys out the pram.

Horace - Just speaking the truth as always, I thought it was common knowledge that Boateng has a flaw in his character.

Rhodes, thank you for your good wishes to my son and his team. I think that Gordon's 'flaw' is what has made them such a good team this season. They certainly listen to him and have a lot of respect for him. Good luck to your team next season.

So she will have met the Chairman then, I bet he made a lasting impression on her.

Hollie - Sounds like one of Potters Bar Town's wind up's, he has a warped sense of humour. Will you be at the Division 1 Cup Final on Saturday at London Colney, if so I'll look out for you as I plan to be there.

Oh, yes I was Secretary of the reserves for 1 season, but you said 'senior club' so I thought you meant a first team Secretary. They were a very good reserve team. I am sorry but I don't remember the reserves playing Kentish Town. Yes, Rhodes we will be at the Cup Final on Saturday. I would'nt think my son will be playing though, because he has only just returned from his injury.

Hollie - I meant it was Kentish Town's first match as a senior club. Surprised you don't remember it. It was played in mid-July at Oak Hill Park. Alan Farmer and Rob Ginder were there, possibly Mark Wiggs too. I was sitting under a tree about 50 yards away as it was the only bit of shade I could find (it was about 120 degrees that day!). Enfield Reserves won 4-1.
