Just so Sport London e Benfica know when we have arrived at the right place.

I know Rhodes is obsessed that we won't appear at games! Or hoping more like!

I'm sure I can come up with something for you but I'm sure if you can find your way around London then finding places like Cranfield won't be to hard.

I'm truly impressed. smile Call me peculiar but, i really love to see pics of footy grounds laugh

AWK, i know you are tremendously busy trying to keep everyone happy on here with pics, but would you mind awfully displaying some Kent Prem League grounds to satisfy me? I know all the Ryman Prem ones. The Kentish one's will be a real treat for me. smile

You could get through a lot of running by the looks of that ground, I always find it best to stand near a kid as they always run off to get the ball and save you the effort!

I won't be able to make it Friday as its my Birthday and I shall be going out for a meal.

Some very good pics of various stadiums AVK. I dont really like the new stadiums that have been built to me a lot of them look indentikit and lack any character, whereas the ones of Brentford have lots of character.

The new grounds may have the facilites but give me an old fashioned ground any day.

As you know my league club is Millwall and the Old Den was so much better the the New Den, in my opinion...got any pics of the Den, old and new?

Like you Gav i enjoy the old grounds. All that history and atmosphere, can it be replicated to move with the times?

P.S are you coming along on Friday? Paula and all will be there smile

P.P.S AWK you could combine both. We will be dining too. Go on...Treat her grin

The old character vs identikit stadium is an interesting one Gavin, a lot of fans who come to Kenilworth Road talk about how good it is to go to a "proper" stadium and how much they have enjoyed it which is all well and good when you only have to go once a season!

I've always liked going to Brentford (more so before they swapped away ends) but the simple facts are that Luton and Brentford are never going to be able to compete at the top levels at their current grounds.

I only went to the Old Den once, and it was a real intimidating place. The New Dens problem seems to be creating atmosphere, you don't get the same feel for the ground, perhaps because its never full, well at least its not been when I've been there.

The Old Den, to be fair still looks impressive:

I was really excited when they were buidling the new Den, I went to the last ever match at the Den and the first ever at the New (along with many other Millwall matches in the last 22 years)

Looking at the two grounds, the New Den is all shiny (somewhat lese these days) but the DEN has CHARACTER, I LOVED the fact it was so damn intimdating, thats NOT violence I am talking about its just the fact the old place was full of atmposphre and yes it was intimdating for visiting fans, being tucked in a coner with a floodlight pylon blocking any view, and Millwall fans right next to you and all round the ground!

I used to stand in along what was called the halfway line stand, which is the one in te pic, that funny thing on top was the TV gantry ( I remember Les Briley walking up a ladder afer a match to be interviewd!)

The new place has had its share of big game atmosphere, but mostly it suffers from the fact that away fans are kept in the upper tier of the North stand behind the goal unless they bring a large enough number, which means that behind that goal is empty and loses atmosphere.

Plus I would much have prefered like at Watford / Wolves for eg a one tier end behind the home goal as it would have made the home atmposphere a lot better rather then having two tiers.

Luton's ground is a craphole, but yes it has character that a shiny new stadium wont have.
