Could not agree more.

Many on this forum, including me, have been crying out for a front player who can hold the ball up and be a target, Chukki fulfills that role brilliantly. Albeit that I don't think he is trult match fit yet?

His performances todate have been very encouraging, but don't forget he is only at Stonebridge Road on loan from Grays Athletic (if my memory serves me right).

Agree again John......Chukki holds the ball well ( when given it !) and allows others to be brought into the attack. I think we were lacking in this type of play prior to his arrival.

 

At the risk of opening myself up for criticism, my mind goes back ( and bear in mind it is a Sunday evening please !!) to the Sunderland team that included Niall Quinn & Kevin Phillips....Quinn was never the most elegant of players, but how many times did he lay on chances for Phillips ?

Chukki is the first player we have had up front since Roy Essandoah who can compete against big centre backs for all the high balls we pump forward.

Anyone who watched Sodge's goal against Forest Green should have spotted how valueable this ability can be.

I dnt think Grays fans really rated him and my mate at uni (stevenage fan) doesn't seem to rate him either, but he has done a good job for us and if we sign him long may it continue. I'm sure he's got the ability to bang in some more goals...

I heard somewhere (think it was the Grays website) that Chukki's contract is up in the summer.
