Bazza is simply a top bloke. Roberts isn't fit to lace Bazza's boots.

Having said that - Hate to say this and it might be sheer heresy, but Roberts may be the better keeper. No doubt that Bazza is one of the best shot stoppers going, but I think it fair to say that he doesn't dominate the area enough and sometimes he gets himself into situations where he leaves his goal exposed.

 

Please note - I know nothing about football let alone goalkeeping.

I suppose banter between our fans and Bastock was inevitable. But you have to question the mentality of those who take it so far as to find it more important to give hand gestures to Bastock when Charlie scored his second than to actually celebrate one's own team's goal.

 

Some rather tiresome homophobic abuse from the more intellectual members of our fanbase behind the goal was also evident.

Yep, we have a few of them as well, as proved yesterday but I wouldn't exactly call them intellectual.
