I am an Essex Senior League onlooker and as the end of the season approaches there will be a lot of transfer activity. What transfer information do you all have?

I have heard the Barking GK Tucker is off to Brentwood Town for next season.

There are a lot of players i have heard of being touted for Concord Rangers as well.

I was at the Brentwood Town Vs Bowers and Pitsea game Monday and over heard someone saying a lot of these players could be on the move. Surely not after winning promotion to the Ryman League?

With a name like that I thought maybe you were Smallsy in disguise, then I spotted you use capital letters where they should be used, something Smallsy never does!!! grin

Many players don't like the travelling involved in the Ryman League, so they stick with the ESL.

A number of the BT players were at Hornchurch last season but didn't stay with them when they went up.

It may be that they are quite happy in picking up their fees playing with the best team in the ESL but don't fancy all the travelling etc involved in being with a Ryman 1 North team.

Or they might not just be good enough to make the jump upwards!

the players that left hornchurch last season that went to brentwood would more than hold their own in the ryman one north and to some extents it is a shame we can't play them in the league next year due to our promotion.I think with their present squad they would finish mid table but with additions couldd challenge for a play off spot although it will be just as competitive in their next season with the likes of canvey, sudbury, enfield, enfield town, maldon or harlow still in there

more than agree...we knew that last years team may well win the ryman north but we decided to get a team that would gell for a season and then win the premier next year......thats why we won by 18 points...last years team would have scraped it by 5.... grin

Let's just wait and see how many of this season's Brentwood squad are still around for 2007/8 in Ryman 1 North!!

Either by their own choice or just being surplus to requirements!
