Whatever happens, this season has been remarkable to say the least, I don't write my opinions on here as much as I use to but I like to say well done to Liam, AK, Ron all the backroom staff, the board and of course the players of which this has been the best season ever. I don't know where this season has gone I remember turning up for Tamworth back in August and seeing Bollas blast 2 fantastic free kicks and Charlie banging them in too. Then tomorrow it’s all over for another season at Stonebridge Road, which is surely up for pitch of the season well done Peter it looked lovely last night.

We have had are ups and downs but that's what you expect in any sport but we have plugged away at it all season and it's a credit to everyone at the club including the supporters that turn up even if it's just home games or every game I like to say well done.

I for one will be going to the end of season party if there is one at Fleet Leisure still no news on that.

It’s been a Fleetastic season and let’s continue it for the next two games and who knows we may still get to Wembley.

Believe

Mike

What Liam has assembled is remarkable, given the limits to his budget.

I expect a few of the squad to depart for pastures new in the summer, as only 1 (or 2) have signed contracts, but hopefully LD can pull a few more stars in the making out of his hat for next term.

Two things I do hope for, is a leaner squad so the fringe players get a more regular game, and

a fitter team, more able to recover from injuries quicker.

The glass is always half full ( unless it's Yorkshire Dunx's round...then it is totally empty !)

The biggest positive of the season is how Chatham Gary has saved us all. As per previous posts, Liam has taken on board all of his suggestions and it is due to CG that we are where we are now. However, there seems to be a little disagreement as to whether or not Geoff Clarke did actually see CG walking across the Thames last week !!

But, the other BIG positive, in my opinion, is that we have had a very good season ( top eight finish guaranteed ) on a very limited budget.

As HJA has said, this should be a POSITIVE thread, so I will not mention the whinging (?) w*nkers who moan about everything !

So let's beat St Alban's....then join in the party at Dagenham ( whilst hoping that all the others playoff teams f*ck up !!)

Cheers,

elephant

There are as many cons as there are pros to have a reserve team in a league.

1. The cost
2. The organistion required in arranging and rearranging fixtures
3. Bookings received in reserve team fixtures count towards players totals resulting in bans from first team matches.

It's far better to do what we did this season and that is to play a number of friendlies, mainly on an afternoon behind closed doors, which kept the fringe players match sharp and enabled players to come back from injury.

I'm not sure how many we played this year, but I do know that it was quite a few.

Quick note to all those going to Daggers - you wont be able to join the party - the bar will be MEMBERS ONLY on the last day of the season.
I am sure this applies before the game, and to ALL bars, but will find out next week

This season has been a brilliant season, it's gone so quickly, it only seems like yesterday I was walking out of Aldershot with mixed feelings. I'm sure a lot of people will be dissapointed if we don't make the play-offs, I won't because I know this has been a great season, what with us being 'near certs' to go down, to us being 'near certs' to win the team of the season.

And, to top it all off, I won the messenger's face in the crowd this week!

Yes what a great season it has been, I have been absent for most of the middle due to uni/egg chasing but the games I have got to have been amazing. It is really good to see a Fleet team playing with pride, belief and playing good football. Looking like a team that deserve to be where they are in the league(maybe even higher bar a few performances). From the games that I have been able to see, my favourites would have to be destroying Grays at home with an amazing game of football and coming back from 2-0 down against Exeter, that second half was possibly one of the best Fleet performances I have seen.

And CG....winning the league would be a lot more satisfying wouldn't it laugh although I would settle for a wembley visit

Just hope next year is just a lickle bit better, and we get a day out at Wembley.

AnI won about £130 at the biginning of the season, which paid for 5 days in Madrid.

Nice

Top season overall. raised everybody's hopes, expectations, blood pressure and moaning levels wink

Knowing how near we have came I would be a little dissapointed if we didn't make the play offs although as I have said this has been a fantastic season and far outreached my expectations. Hattrick tomorrow for Charlie please and then him getting the winning goal next saturday in the 94th minute picking up the golden boot award and us making it into the play offs.

Hopefully Daishinio can resign the squad for next season and add one or two players of quality and this time next year we'll be champions.

Pushing for the play-offs has been the club's ambitions for a couple of seasons now and if results go our way that could still be realised. I was originaly very reserved about Liam's appointment as manager but I am more than happy to eat my own words, well done to him and all the lads, even though a half decent cup/trophy run wouldn't go amiss.....No matter what the result against St. Albans the club deserve a big thumbs up from all of us and a 'last home game of the season party' to remember. So there!
