We need to be loud tomorrow. Get behind the boys for the 90+ minutes. Just been reading SW19s Army (AFCW fanzine type site) and picked this bit out..

Here's what Chris Gell said in the local Guardian this week:

"I have to admit I was blowing a bit at the end (of Folkstone). I was on my last legs but the supporters got me through it. Hearing them cheer us on until the end kept me going. I was knackered but I didn't want to tell the boss - I didn't want to come off. The fans were our 12th man. They have stuck by us this season and we owe them one".

Tomorrow's going to be tough. Ashford are fighting for survival and need three points to get themselves away from that 4th relegation place. The way they play is usually to work hard and make life difficult for teams so it's going to be a battle. Players will get tired. The atmosphere can make the difference.

Even better if they comes along in person and have a moan, as long as they pay their money and make a lot of noise!

The game at Hendon wont be as important a game or as much to some if we cant secure the 3 points tomorrow. First things first.

IF we do manage the win tomorrow, the win we need to keep our hopes alive, then Hendons game will probably attract our biggest away support of all season I reckon. The importance of Hendons game depends on results tomorrow both home & away but especially ours at home.

Of course the game at Hendon will mean a lot. It's the last one of the season (play-offs not included).

It's the last chance to see the lads before an awful three months with no football in (play-offs not included).

How can you say it will not mean a lot? Every game with the blues in is a biggie.

I'm not arguing with your comments June. All perfectly true of course but I think you know what I meant. Apart from thanking the players & saying goodbye for a while the thrills of the actual game & result will be diluted if the play-offs aren't still at stake.Despite all that you say, despite peoples desire to go,some of those wanting to go now WILL stay at home or have the day at work after all if we have nothing left to play for apart from pride. Its a fact. Some will be going all out to get the day off to go, with a prize at stake, whereas otherwise they probably wouldnt make so much effort. The result tomorrow WILL determine whether our away following next week is LARGE or HUGE!
It wont affect those that reguarly go to away games or who can manage to on a more regular basis than others.

I like that differentiation Cookie. So much in fact, I'l try to use it in tomorrow's commentary: LARGE or HUGE
