[Stretch]

We let a poor poor side rattle us and lost all Discipline in the second half, the first half was all us and we were playing good football. But Second half we let ourselves down big time we let basildon do exactly what their whole objective was and that was to wind us up.

 

We stoped playing football and lost it in the middle of the park

 

First goal was a passback/shot from 40yards which went in somehow, second everybody watched the ball bounce on the edge of the box three times allowing a free shot, and the third the keeper called but failed to gather the ball allowing a tap in.

Just got back from an overnight business trip so this is my first chance to post.

Deffo a reserve team with Hookey Jnr making his ESL debut for Bas Utd (can't believe I missed it). There were some players with first team experience, including John Higley's two boys, Dan and John, also Steve Hickey, Dane Elliott and Richard May. But the rest were the remaining ESL registered ressies. Who by the way also played on Tuesday evening at Stansted.

My lad said it was as much a case of Manor self destructing as Basildon winning. Apparently the Manor keeper had one to forget and the skipper didn't exactly cover himself in glory, allowing himself to get suckered into being wound up!!!!

I must admit that when he rang me last night saying they had won against a recently resurgent Eton Manor, I was stunned.
