Basildon are on a good run just like Manor. You happy Beeswax?

 

John Higley has done a good job there just like at Apsa. Will he be there next year because he usually only stays a short while?

 

So one of Whitelocks records remains!

beeser as i understand it the first team actually took the aveley game is that right? so your reserves beat eton manor???

Smallsy, you are right, the first team took the Aveley game and the reserves played at Eton Manor. We also had a problem that not all of our reserve squad were registered for the ESL. On checking the reserve line-up, there were six players who had appearred for the first team this season, including one with one subs appearance, a goalkeeper playing in midfield and the player with the most experience was Steve Hickey.

We were 1-0 down at half-time but evidently there was a problem in the Eton Manor camp at half-time. I also hear that two Manor players were sent off in the last 5 minutes. However as I wasn't there, I'm still trying to glean information!!

yes mate you can fill me in on all the banter tomorrow. surprised eton manor didnt smash you then. their results have been great of late and i even fancied them to nick a point off barkingside tomorrow.

 

what game did you go to beeser? aveley or eton manor?

Jenko, I'm very happy! JH inherited one player from last year's squad when he took over in the close season and has built a very good young side with the average age of 22, without a playing budget.

JH is a good coach and is very happy at Basildon United and already planning for next season. My understanding is that the directors of the club are very pleased with JH and have given him complete control of the playing side of the club and the scope to build the youth policy of the club as he wishes.

JH has been at the club before and has known the directors for many years, having worked with one of them on the youth coaching staff at Millwall FC. I'd be amazed if he went elsewhere angry

The one thing we do need is a consistent side as we haven't put out the same side two matches running this season, due to injuries, business commitments etc.
