Er...I think you will find we scored a penalty in the FIRST min, they equalised in the first min of the second half, and we scored the winner with about 20 mins to go!

Thank you Horace, indeed the rest were playing catch up since November. Remember though that Harefield/Hertford and Leverstock all led the league before we did.

What's your point exactly, we can see this for ourselves.

I think Ampthill Town will just about hang on to it particularly after we take care of Stony Stratford Town on Saturday, we must be the last team they want to face in what will be our final game of the campaign, we're keen to go out with a bang knowing that it should be us up there challenging for promotion.

So why aren't you challenging for promotion Rhodes? Is it because you're not good enough? Or because your leading scorer is currenly spending time away at Her Majesty's Pleasure.

Stony still have Kentish to play and a local derby against New Bradwell so certainly not a guaranteed 6 points.

Cockfosters have a less challenging task of beating Cranfield. However they have picked up a few points recently.

Ampthill need 1 point from Brimsdown which should secure it with their superior goal difference.

Who would Brimsdown prefer to go up with them?

clip Rods, the fairly obvious point that you fail to grasp is that, had you not made a flukey start and built some momentum from it, you would have had a real struggle this season. If you fail to make a similar start next season (which is very likely, whichever League you end up in) you could easily find yourself looking over your shoulder at the relegation trap-door.

So you call being top of the League at Christmas a flukey start, many people still class us as the best footballing side in the division and that was evident at Amersham Town on Tuesday, Dave Beasant was in the crowd and I saw him shaking his head in disbelief on a number of occasions.
