Thanks Bitch and Greener,

Dunno if 2 have ever been promoted, IF 2 come down what will happen

Hellenic league had asked for Reading Town but that was turned down last I heard.

Well there is always talk of Reading doing the right thing and finally moving over the the Hellenic league. It makes sense for them to do it, as they don't really have any local teams in the CCL!

The last I heard though was that the CCL don't want them to move (why?).

You are most welcome Teflon smile There was talk a while ago about the Kent league being restructured amalgamating with other leagues geographically. Anyone know any more about this?

Bitch, last i heard the proposed link with the Essex league fell through, don't know why it would have helped both leagues increase their numbers.

Although both Kent and Essex are short on numbers, it seems to have been generally agreed that merging the two wasn't very practical. Although they're neigbouring counties, travel between the two aint that easy, as everyone has to go over the Dartford Crossing. And for the Kent teams on the coast eg. Whitstable Herne Bay Deal Hythe etc, thats a long journey. And if the Dartford Crossing/Tunnel is stuffed up ....... then we're all bu88ered!

No changes for next season, but the FA are meant to be reviewing Step 5 regions for the following season. Kent League are more likely to be merged with Sussex. Suspect CoCo will be in for a revamp as well, due to the fact it covers quite a wide region.

Right.

Rumour is Bisley Sports want CCL Prem football but will only be allowed if Reading move to the Hellenic league. The only reason Godalming will stay up is if teams fall out above or there are not enough teams to make up the numbers for the new Step 6 league. There was a rumour that 2 clubs in the Midlands were going to merge and the best 2nd last spot Step 4 side will stay up. You then have to factor in things like the Farnborough Town situation. There is a chance they may fall to the CCL/Wessex League. Also the FA eventually only want 12 Step 4 leagues with 20 clubs in it. That is for 2008/09 I think.

Can't remember the last time 2 sides went up from the CCL in the same season.

Reading what Kroons has just posted - maybe the CCL don't want Bisley??

Who knows GF. I think sides have to drop 3 levels if they start again so Farnborough Town would have to start at Level 5.

On the Reading situation I understand that the FA have always said they will not force a side to another league so I presume it is Reading not wanting to go.

A walk in the park sounds like more fun than watching Cove this season Big JR No, I'm not a new poster, just an irregular one that hasn't had much to shout about all season grin

Now Park Boy - reckon you got to him, wouldn't be surprised if he surfaces under another name!
