As if anyone needed an excuse

Recommended Posts

Given his defensiveness are Devonshire and annon one and the same ? I don't expect everyone to like me, or my opinions, but I would hope that my mere attitude didn't offend. Integrity and manners don't cost, win at all costs and sod the rest of you, smacks of an ignorance and arrogance of the lowest level. The west Ham team Devonshire played for did not play with that concept, they played hard and fair, which is why i appreciated his playing skills. Win at all costs is the reason the world is in such a god awfull mess, not just football. There must be a healthy respect for the "liitle" man.

Surely as a manager you are supposed to be an ambassador for your club and when someone in that position starts giving vulgar hand gestures at the crowd whilst they are leaving and IGNORING him, I think he is not fufilling that role especially well, takign into consideration there were little kiddies near by as he did this, a good example is it? With your attitude I am glad i don't have to deal with your kids they are obviosuly brought up with no morals or respect.

Er.. seem to remember your gaffa being sent from the bench during our game at your place earlier in the season for some rather colourful language and inappropriate suggestions. Anyway, doesn't matter what you think of him he's done a good job and hopefully we can see it through on saturday. Hope your lads make a game of it as sometimes it can be harder to play well when you are in complete control as anyone who watched England play recently can testify. It'll be better if you come at us than sit back and defend for 90 minutes.

Have any Slough fans seen a Devonshire team?

You are spot on in your assessment as I watched Maidenehead for a few seasons when he was in charge.

His favourite formation was a classic 8-0-2, unattractive to watch - but he did get results. When he left Maidenhead he took most of the team with him - No loyalty and he just left for the money.
