Plea for advice! On pitch refurbishment.

Recommended Posts

The problem is the drainage so matter what is done the pitch will never be good. Apparently it has to do with the geological make-up of the area and because there is an ancient stream/river that runs underneath. Added to the fact some years ago the pitch was redone and the people doing it [****!!****] it up!

well its now been sanded and drill seeded and the rain has come.

We plan to have it verti drained and rolled as well as regularly spiked.

Jenks i too have been told that exact story.

The pitch does have drainage believe it or not but due to the bad levels the water get caught in the hollows and doesnt make it to the drain lines.

Even 1 week after putting 20 tonnes of sand on it has almost dissapeared without trace the pitch has just eaten it up.

In another 10 days or so hopefully the grass will start to show.

Once again to everyone thanks for all the advice.
