After the great win against Ramsgate the Blues had to get there feet firmly on the ground for this home game. With several key players out and some having played for the reserves Margate would be up against it. A fair start but far too rushed the Blues made hard work and allowed Sittingbourne to put some good moves together and come forward. Several good chances fell to the Blues but just could not make the most of them, 0-0 at half time. Margate got off to a flyer from the restart and with-in 3 minutes were in the lead as the long absent Woody made the most of a half chance. The game turned as Sittingboure returned to their reputation and late tackles and words were meated out. A booking for Margate after one such moment spured Sittingbourne and the Gate had a dodgy 15 minutes. Howerere, they battled back, Eliot pressed and took on their keeper who went down, the ref waved play on and a nice set-up pass gave Kyle the chance, game won for 2-0. Margate kept their cool ans saw the game out.

Big game next week as the Gate are away to second placed Whitstable. Not having played them yet this will be a test of two footballing sides. Margate with 3 games in hand over some and 6 in hand over Sittingbourne and Herne Bay who are just above them, a win here will set up a return game at HP for 2nd place this game would be worth turning up for.
