Dissapointed

Iv'e got to say that whilst sitting in the stand at the game yesterday i was dissapointed to hear a number of people critisising and knocking the players.

No body has a bad game or makes mistakes on purpose the guys need encouriging when things are not quite going right NOT being slated and having the confidence Knocked out of them. There is still a few games to go and everybody needs to get behind the lads to boost them onto the rewards they deserve for their seasons efforts.

i was in the stand and people were simply discussing the perfermence of the team to the people they were with. At no point did anyone shout anything negative from the stand at the players. Any honest footballer would hold their hands up and admit when they had a poor game and a few of our lads were not at their best on saturday. If a player is having a bad game then people will say so in discussion to other people. Big'un, you positng this is probably more negative as playes will read this and read far more into it than actually was the case.

Well, i along with plenty of others were behind the goals - Got hoarse from the Matty Jones and his Blue n white Army being eloquently sung grin for god knows how long whilst 2-0 down. So i can state from my position the only bloke who was moaning was their keeper who said he was going deaf with the din yay -

We have had IMO two poor performances this season..In my book that is top stuff...meaning we have seen (if been there) 38 decent performances. Nuff Said.

"We have had IMO two poor performances this season..In my book that is top stuff...meaning we have seen (if been there) 38 decent performances".

And that is the precise reason why your fans have remained fully behind your team all season, with not a harsh word being spoken (well, hardly anyway).

If you had the misfortune to watch up to 15 second rate performances this season (as is the case with SOME other teams in this league), then perhaps some of your fans may well have emulated the Clarets support on occasions.

And yes, I appreciate that it's all down to the "BBB" attitude gone sour, but it COULD happen to anyone!

I couldn't agree more with the post's on here the 1st half was on par with Slough away but after the season the boys have had it would be very harsh to start to give them stick.

At least the bar was open all game grin ,Just need one more big effort from all involved at Bromley on Saturday.

Keep The Faith people see you all on Sat.

15 poor performances, are you suggesting that anything other than a win for you lot this season was unacceptable and it was rated, by some, as a poor performance?

That's football TC. Unfortunately (and sometimes, fortunately), I'm not in a position to watch the Clarets, but it seems to me that "poor performances" are always directly proportionate to the adversity of the result (for ALL teams - not only CCFC). I can only recall a couple of times this season when we have lost whilst having deemed to have played well.

We have some professional moaners at MP mate , fact is that on occasions , like Saturday for us the opposition are better and deserve to win , it's football sometimes you have to hold your hands up and face the fact that on the day you were second best.

Some 'fans' will always find something to moan about , win 10-1 and it will be 'Shouldnt have let one in' or'Oppo were [****!!****]'or 'should have had 15'sadly they tend to be voiciferous.

In my opinion, no one player, in whatever team, goes out of his way to put in a poor performance. Whatever the reason for a having a "bad day" at the office, I refuse to believe that it's because a player or players deliberately decided to put one in. That would be an insult to the player(s), the team and the club. And lets face it, we all have "bad days" at the office, for whatever reason. Before people criticsize players, they should look to themselves, in whatever vocation they work in. We all do whatever we do, to the best of our ability and effort the supporters here have recognised that in the team.

We have a great squad of players who work together as a team, encouraging each other to do their best on the pitch, as well as off it. This season has been every much as exciting as the best of the '70's "hey days" of the club and will be remembered fondly in the future (lets face it, supporters all look backwards as much as they look forwards). I think, no, I know that, the majority of the supporters appreciate the effort everyone at the club (including the players) have done to make this season as enjoyable as ever and the majority of the comments posted on this forum are an example of the support the club has generated around New Lodge.

Personally, whatever the outcome of the season, the supporters will be right behind the club as it continues to grow for the future because, they all support Billericay Town FC and want the best that is achievable.

I for one have thoroughly enjoyed watching us this season, win, lose or draw and regardless of the merits of the performance on Saturday, I don't think there was anyway some of us were going to relax and enjoy it - unless we spanked them 5-0 !! The heat didn't help but the fact is we are at the really sharp end now(damnit - I actually punched the fence in frustration when the third went in - OUCH !) so let's just focus some positive energy towards the lads at Bromley and hope it all pans out fine.

And for a positive spin on last Saturday, at least we scored twice, only lost by one-goal, didn't have anyone booked or sent off and as i don't recall seeing Jen run on in her little black shorts :-( presume we all came through fit and in one piece...
