Lord Lippy Is Leaving Us

Recommended Posts

So Lord Lippy has decided to call it day with city and go to a Conference club in a non-managerial/coaching capacity.

Good luck to him - he certainly doesn't owe St Albans City anything.

Looking forward - Does Nick Roddis have in him to step up to manager? - I personally would like to see some continuity.

Be careful with your wording AFF remember you've been pulled up on the forum over it !

I've seen too many managers come and go over the season's bringing & taking player's with them, that's why I'd like some continuity at the club and as Laz said it was a winning team with a lot of those player's last season.

Now Colin Lippiat has confirmed he won't be here next year it could be intresting, the manager? Nick Roddis will fancy his chances and must be favorite having been assistant, whereas consistancy is a good thing do we think a club of our size should be gambling with unproven managers or 'good coaches', Steve Castle was a good coach.

With all our best players on contracts next season, and these are players that are very good Conf South players, we can't go failing on the pitch especially as some of these will be on good money, the revenue is going to drop enough as it is without people staying away because we aren't near the top!

Plenty has been said about Gibson, why he's spouting in the press about back stabbers I don't know, I can't think of too much in the last two seasons that people could moan at him for apart from the obvious failings in the commercial side, he's takes everything so personally when anybody that has a go at him for that is just looking out for the long term intrests of the club!

I'd want somebody in who can match his level of investment, as mentioned a lot of players are on contracts for the next couple of years, if the finance goes we could be [****!!****], if nobody can match his investment then I hope he stays and shuts the [****!!****] up!

I've heard that they haven't trained for a couple of weeks actually, Hatboy.

Perhaps they should be reminded that they haven't won a bl00dy game since January and that Saintsfans pay good money to watch 'em win not watch 'em be 'gutted'. I bet they're not so 'gutted' that they wont pick up their salaries this bl00dy week.

Bring 'em in for extra training. Make 'em jog home from Gravesend if they don't put on a decent show. And it's The Muff coming up.

:-(
