Can we resurrect Richard C's thread from last week

The free ticket thing was a bit of a fiasco anyway. Why could they not have been handed to each person as they passed through the turnstile? When we arrived (a bit later than usual due to traffic problems), there was a queue a mile long waiting patiently by a table. When we walked passed it towards the bar, someone asked us if we had collected our ticket to which I replied. “We want a beer. I am not standing there queuing for half an hour”!

I got m free ticket at the turnstile - that was down at the Car Park end & I had to point out that there was still a lengthy queue at the other end (at 5 to 3)whilst there was no-one entering at the Car Park end - remember everyone, Thursday is not segregated, so you can get in at the Car Park end as well, if theres a queue the other end.

When I got there, quite early the ground was obviously virtually empty. Harry and Cheryl were both handing out the tickets. Then the quee picked up but Harry had to go and start the 50/50 so Rachel and latter Greg! (not Dyke) came round to help out.

They were obviously doing their best. Just inside the front gate on Saturday was like a market place. Two of us were selling the Fanzine, three others were selling Golden Goals and were trying to get voters for player of the season. Meanwhile Cheryl was trying to get anyone who hadn't picked up their ticket to come over to collect it. It was so noisy.

It's hard getting people to take something even if it's free, take it from one that knows. And I know people are going to turn up on Thursday demanding free entry but didn't collect their ticket.
