Good performance in the first half for Gate. Margate playing with 3 at the back and the full backs pushing on. 2 bookings for the Margate: Skinner and Sappleton. But Gate's change of tactics in moving the ball forward quickly is proving problematic to the home side who despite pressing as the half went on, have not forced the Gate keeper into a save.

 

Great finish from Hockton for the opening goal on 18 minutes and then Pinnock found loads of time and space in a cetral position on the edge of the Claret's area to lob McKinney for Gate's second goal.

 

2 subs for Margate; Standen on for Sappleton and SCS on for Mitten.

 

It's a lovelly sunny day here in Essex, but this is NBOT a football stadium! Must be close to 100 Gate fans.

Mitten has made one good save(in the game(not many other saves to make thus far).Mitten injured in the process & is replaced by Scott in goal. Saunders & Standen playing quite deep. Gate doing well but second half Chelmsford are going to come at us. We need 45 minutes of hard hard graft. COME ON YOU BLUES. keep it up!
