i will vote for dale,i think his goalkeeping has been superb and he has kept us in games at times

How can we select a single player as Player of the Season? Whilst the whole squad has performed superbly there are at least FIVE players who could wear the crown. It is impossible to say one deserves it more than another. I have cast my vote but wished I could have voted for the others too.

Agree 100% Sidders me ol' mate, and point taken.

However if you decide on what parameters you are to vote and look at the whole season then a decision should be reached.

A few years ago CP and I ran a Man of the Match competition throughout the whole season, and the one with the most awards won the trophy.However he may not have been the fans' overall Player of the season.

That is entirely different because it was won twice by Joppo with 8 awards, and there were over 20 different players appointed MOM.

Competition was very intense and it was a delight to do it because it promoted better play, but we set our parameters and stuck by them.

A suggestion - the player of the year form is a part of the programme and not everyone wants to rip the programme apart - so it is better to have it as a separate leaflet within the programme.

 

Better still - hand them out at the turnstyles as not everyone buys a programme.
