Celebrity Deathmatch....

Recommended Posts

With the return of angry Gav coinciding with watching celebrity deathmatch last night I was thinking how good a Gav vs Rhodes episode would be... no poles allowed mind you!

Rhodes has unsuprisingly bottled out of coming to the Challenge Trophy final as Tring is apparently to dificult to get to mid-week.

I'm assured his decision has nothing at all to do with having to eat two hats and apologise sincerely face to face with anyone he's offended in the last six months.

35-40 mins from Euston and only a 10-15 minute walk from the station (PM me for the short cut) or £5 at the very most in a taxi.

I can set up a "Forum Corner" in the clubhouse if people are planning to attend as neutrals. I'll have to arrange for a cage for Gavin in case he gets too rowdy!!

..

LOL, I dont think you will need a 'cage' after all I think having met me you can tell the others that I am not the 'nutcase' I am portrayed to be by several people LOL.

I am looking forward to the match, and to coming to Tring's ground again, I had a nice time when we were there earlier in the season, and not just because we won. The people were very friendly and made us feel very welcome, I take it that the Tring board will be there that day?

Looking forward to seeing you all on May 8th, and as its a day before my 40th birthday, I hope to be celebrating in style wink

Actually your right, just a couple of old boys in hi-vis gear.

Well i didnt think we'd need to hire a body builder to keep little old you in check!!! Crowd will be probably be about 60 odd. We usually get more, but they only turn up for the big games ;-)

Is that right? funny how Edgware have been top of the table since November! and have scored far more goals the Harefield.

Harefield are a well organised side and play good football, and in the games between us they have given us tight matches.

I KNOW all the SSML want Harefield to win the league rather then a side that was moved to the division from the Rymans last season.

Having seen both sides a few times this season, I do think Harefield are the better team to watch for the neutral. Edgware though are perhaps more functional and harder to break down. I was actually a bit disappointed by them at Manor although they were too good for us on the night.

Having said that the league table doesn't lie and the best team are normally the champions at the end.

I didn't think Harefield looked like a league winning side when we played them last week, but are obviously doing something right to be up there & still in with a shout at this time of year. They looked in trouble at times, when we were running at their back four but mopped up anything in the air. The best footballing side I've seen this year was Chalfont at our place, closely followed by Hertford and Edgware - (before I get shouted down i've not seen everyone play this year)

I think several sides are capable of playing good football on their day in this divison. Harefield are stong and well organised, Hertford score lots of goals, I think were more exciting earlier in the season when we had two out and out wing backs, we have changed our style since then, but on Tuesday night we got back to the kind of form we were showing then, and could have scored more then the six we did agasint oxhey.

Gavin - I think at the end of the day, as I'm sure everyone on here will agree, you're head and shoulders this season, will you still come on the Forum to say hi when you're in the Ryman Division 1 North or not bother.
