Rafa made some strange substitutions last night.

 

1)Admittedly Zenden werent having the best of times, but to bring on Kewell who has hardly played all season?

2)Then bring on Crouch was a good shout, but for Mascherano, who was Liverpools best player and looked hungry???

3) Take off Finnan and bring on Arebola (or whatever his name is???). Complete waste of time.

 

Bentiez has already said Zenden, Dudek and Fowler are released. Gonzalez going to Betis. I think Bellamy will go as well.

Kewell has looked quite lively in the two games he's played but didn't look there yesterday

 

I understood the Mascherano one in that he wanted to bring a striker on and i don't think he felt Masch is a goal threat whereas Alonso is more so

 

What was the point of Arebola coming on except to give him a couple of mins playing in a cup final which was pointless

 

Having said that Crouchie should of started up top with Kuyt and push Gerrard Back a litlle but so he can exploit gaps

A sea turtle looked more threatening than Kewell and Zenden together yesterday.

 

I agree with the Mascherano sub. But maybe he should have took Zenden off and brought on Crouch? Give Gerrard a free reign?

Riise was basically playing as a left midfielder anyway!

Fowler wasen't even on the bench mate if he had played two up top then he would have been but alas he left crouch and bellamy on the bench so no room for GOD

 

But onwards to the new season and hopefully a few quality signings for liverpool will get us closer to Man u and Chelsea on the domestic front

 

What do you reckon on spurs looking likely to get Bale from what i've seen he looks quite useful

Our left back has always been out problem, so hopefully Bale will solve this problem for us.

 

I dont think we need to improve in many other areas. Hopefully this Kaboul will be good cover for King and Dawson.

 

We have three quality strikers if we can hold onto them all (Mido can do one), and a vast array of good midfielders.

 

If we show the quality we are capable of, we can easily break the top four. If not, we will make it a top five!

A decent attacking side would of slaughtered milan last night.Liverpool were much the better team but lacked any class in front of goal.Milan were poor but didn't need to be at their best to grind out that result

Why not settle for a top sixteen KJ and be really ambitious!

I reckon if Tottenham Get Bale and keep Berbatov and maybe a little bit better cover in places they will be up their challenge for a Champions League place
