Great read... sa true story about a little regional league club in Italy who get taken over by a Mafiosy type sugar daddy and go right up to Serie B. It all then goes t&ts up, sugar daddy's real objectives become apparent, ground is sold and they slide back doen to oblivion.

This link gives a bit of history on them. I beleieve that have now reformed as AFC Castel Di Sangrio.

Oh if Reproman is viewing this..... ok I admit it is your book not mine and I will give it back one day.

I gave this book to Nobby Jonhson at Great Wakering Rovers two years ago.it's a great story and they managed to stay up the first season, playing the likes of Torino and Genoa at their tiny ground.if you have read the book, their general manager told some players to throw away one of the last matches and the american reporter didn't know anything about it.It really shows you the good, bad and ugly things of our "calcio".it's sufference, corruption, politics but also decent fellas that love their football and can play,we have got them all! smile
