The Orazi and the Curiazi

While it governed Tullio Ostilio, the war between Rome and Albalonga burst. It did not come but fought.

In fact, in order to avoid large spillings of blood, it was settled down that three champions of Albalonga would have fought against three champions of Rome.

The Roman chose the three siblings Orazi, the Albani the three Curiazi siblings. In the immense chosen field for the challenge between the two formations, they fought the singular duel.

At first, the fight was not favorable to the three Romans, in fact two of these fell dead men, while two of the three Albani, only came hurt.

The Orazio then rerun to one stratagem: since entirety could not face them all alone, it pretended to escape, and it came chased from fastest and not hurt of the Curiazi,

but without warning the Roman turned itself and succeeded to pull down the first adversary; then he escaped still and even this time he succeeded to fight against a single Albano.

Finally, then, between the exultation of the roman army, the Orazio faced and pulled down also the last enemy.

From that moment, the city of Albalonga, with all its territory, entered to make part of the dominion of Rome.

it was men against boys tonight I agree but that was not down to AC so much as more down to united being poor defensively (which they were and all three goals would not have got past a good defence)...

should be a great final and I feel liverpool will have to much for them....the karma is with them

we shall see..

Hey Coachie... whilst you are talking Italian Football, did you ever read the book "The Miracle of Castel Di Sangro by Joe McGinniss"

Great read... sa true story about a little regional league club in Italy who get taken over by a Mafiosy type sugar daddy and go right up to Serie B. It all then goes t&ts up, sugar daddy's real objectives become apparent, ground is sold and they slide back doen to oblivion.

This link gives a bit of history on them. I beleieve that have now reformed as AFC Castel Di Sangrio.

Oh if Reproman is viewing this..... ok I admit it is your book not mine and I will give it back one day.
