Sorry to hear some of the comments from John.

Although knowing some of the 'friends of the club' at Clarence Park, I can fully understand and sympathise with him being tired of all the back stabbing.

Those that prattle on about the season being a 'wasted opportunity' should look at themselves in the mirror and ask "what do I do to help?" I know from past experience that it is all too easy for some at t'Park to knock other peoples efforts and make barbed criticism with the benefit of hindsight.

One piece of advice to old friends if I may. Those of you that care about your club should do all you can to help John now and in the future because without him, it will be a hell of a lot more difficult to 'bounce back'.

Tell you the truth, I haven't heard much "back stabbing" going on this season in regards to Gibbo. I do know that we've had a couple of marketing/communication people come and go, the Ridler came and mysteriously went, and now,it seems, a director has left. Who is doing this back stabbing?

From the newsapaper, Zag:

"If I am honest, I have had a lot of support from the Vice-Chairman but some of the other directors have not offered me that support over a period of time."

Ian Ridley resigned at Christmas. Rumour has it that Bill Chippington resigned last week. The remaining directors are Mrs Gibbo, Alasdair McMillin the Vice-Chairman, Leigh Page and, I assume, Greg Healy the finance chap from William Verry Ltd.

From the matchday programme, the 'Associate Directors' are Geoff Brown, Rex Wynn and Colin Wicks.

Apologies, Zag. Later in the article, Gibbo is quoted:

"To achieve what we did and then see some people getting the knives out makes you think 'what the hell am I doing this for?'"

There is no contribution from any of the other Directors, past or present, or any of the Associate Directors.

I have to agree. It's all been positive and I feel Gibbo has had support from those on the terraces.

Let's hope that attitude continues next year.

However, there is room for some improvement: the bar for example.

I also haven't seen or heard much back-stabbing but I have seen people discussing issues relating to the club.

I don't think that communication within the club is very good.

In view of the recent history of the club, I think that supporters take a greater interest in the running of the club then they would have 10 years ago and this combined with the poor communication has lead to some areas of discussion.

That was a quality speech!

John should consider appointing someone to do the talking for him, maybe Mrs Gibson.
