would be interested to know where you think we should play next season

1 windsor

2 sycob

3 burnham(they are never going to let us)

4 maidenhead

how far are rebels fans prepared to travel, at least stag meadow is fairly local to slough.i know some fans travel a distance already. sycob is difficult is it not to get to by public transport.

would be interested to know peoples thoughts.

personally i would prefer windsor or maidenhead simply from a travelling point of view. yes they may both have terrible pitches at the moment but they are easier to get to for those of us who dont drive.

from what ive heard from friends who live around beaconsfield the 74 service around there is a bit unreliable, i believe thats the only way to get there without driving.

The rent has got to be realistic next season to ensure the money goes round, that surely only leaves SYCOB who are advertising on their website for a groundshare. Surely a bus of some sort could be organised to run up there once or twice a game to take the 50-100 who just cant get there any other way - would there be that many though in reality? Better pitch, better facilities and surely, surely a better financial deal to be had - plus if SYCOB end up the the South Midlands League (or Combined Counties) dual registration could benefit both clubs AND their reserve side may be of use to both clubs by player sharing?

We can argue whatever we want but deep down we all know we will be back at Slag Meadow next season, i belive that SYCOB's ground did not pass rules for the league we will be in next season.

Burnham Wont happen

Maidenhead. Parking, Flooding etc etc

Id like to see us go to Staines personally.

Staines is surely too far, although it is by far the best pitch and set up in the area.

SYCOB would be a nice alternative and is perhaps the only obvious option other than a return to Windsor but given the current rent we pay to them and money we may have for next season, securing park land might be the best option.

I know everyone seems to say Beaconsfield, but that's going to be twice as bad as Windsor in terms of the pitch in my opinion. When we've been there the past two pre-seasons the pitch has been like a overgrown field. Hate to think what it's like at this stage of the season...

I'm not so sure Chris, we went and watched Beaconsfield play a couple of times this season when our game was called off at Windsor becasuse of the state of the pitch. Also if treacle beak above this posting has put his tuppence worth in it looks like we must be back at Windsor Yuk!!!!

I watched SYCOB play Bashley this season,(Dashed down with my 2 year old nephew after hendon game called off) and whilst the pitch was not great, it was better than the Meadow. Also, My nephew and I were not given the 'warm' welcome that us Slough Fans get from anyone to do with Windsor.

Woody, firstly I never said I didnt like your pitch I was merely stating a fact that two of our games were called off at Windsor yet the pitch was ok at Beaconsfield, and yes to be fair I do believe your pitch will get better, lets be honest it cant get any worse.
