great day at the bridge...

Uncle Urchin

Recommended Posts

warm spring sunshine and 750 noisy supporters having a beano....great atmosphere in the ground and the gleaming silver championship trophy awaiting purdies collection at 5pm.....

as for the match...well it wasn't the best I have seen this season but we aint runaway champions for nothing and although I must admit to feeling that canvey were marginally the better team on the day we were more resolute and stronger....1-1 with 5 to go and up pops krissy lee with a goal worthy of winning an FA Cup final... applause

both sets of colourful fans a credit to their clubs and standing side by side with much banter and singing and not an angry word in sight...nor a segregation fence or a steward.... grin

well done to everyone on a great easter monday matchday... cheerleader

I've lost my voice!!! I might sue the coach company as I had to take on the work of 50 people for the first 20 minutes or so.

Good game today and my apologies to anybody in the Riverside who I might have offended in the second half!!! grin wink

Thanks to everyone for a great day out - thanks to Unc for his trip around the wine cellar and my present.
Wish you all the best of luck for next season.

We keep on grinding the results out, not the best performance by any stretch and Canvey did play some nice stuff. Jimi Mac was superb and resolute and when called upon Kris Lee came up with the goods yet again. Great day, great fan banter and credit to Canvey for sharing a really excellent atmosphere. Good luck for the rest of the season and here's to a revenge job against Bury on saturday.
