Ok then, another real TEAM performance that to me showed the real spirit our young lads possess. Going 1 down in the first 2 mins ?? and then to come storming back really shows what Matty says about they will never give up.

 

These lads we have "want it" not just for themselves but for "their" teammates and ALL the people that work tirelessly for this club.

 

I have always stated that "WE" as supporters only ever want to see effort out there - "WE" as fans do not "EXPECT" anything other than a desire to play for the shirt...

 

WELL LADS - IT REALLY SHOWS HOW MUCH YOU ENJOY PLAYING FOR YOUR CLUB - And WE as fans RESPECT you ALL for that...

 

So, come what may - It is a real pleasure coming to watch YOU LOT!!

 

And Matty and the team know full well that come win,lose,draw -

 

WE ARE 100% BEHIND YOU ! COS YOU PUT IN REAL EFFORT.

Not the most entertaining of games, but so what! The 3 goals in the first 8 mins were good, as were our chances in the last 10, but not a lot in the middle to write home about.

 

But three points and a widening of the gap between us and the rest.

 

What's Burbs got to do to score? That guy must have broken a few mirrors recently! Thought Danny K had one of his quieter games compared to his own high standard and presume Whelps wasn't fully fit after his knock at Staines. Dorms was fantastic, again, as was Flacky until he went off (looked like a Hamstring? Hope it wasn't). Wareham made an impact when he came on, & Billy seamlessly picked up were Joe had left off.

 

So Chelmo have dropped 2 points but H&R and Bromley keep up the pressure. H&R have to play away at Staines and have the Swifts visiting so plenty of opportunity to drop a few points yet. Our match at Bromley is looking crucial!

Good all round performance I think. couldn't see their goal from the programme shed, but it's always frustrating to go behind so early. Clearcut penalty in my opinion, their guy blocked a shot and was perhaps a little fortunate not to get carded. Good goal from Flackie - initial diagnosis on his injury was not too serious so hopefully won't miss too much. Thought Rikki and Billy both stepped up to the plate in the second half, Rikki desparately unlucky not to score.

Yet an other great day out if your a Blues Fan. The Lads are a credit to the club and J Flack has so much speed in his runs it's a pleasure to watch. Nice to finaly get a penalty not sure if we deserved it or not, (more face than hand?) But as they say what goe's around comes around. Also to be on top of the table looks good eh. I havent noticed LF around must be in sliding motion lol.
