An open letter to Burnham Ramblers FC

Recommended Posts

Dear BRFC,

On the 17th of last month Romford played their away league fixture at Leslie Field and while the Boro had most of the play the Ramblers sneaked a goal to give them a lucky 1-0 win. Daylight robbery I felt - but then that's football ain't it?

You may also remember that for this game you were unable to provide a match day programme due, I believe, to printer problems.

To those Romford supporters who would have bought one you offered the opportunity for us to pay £1.50 each and leave our names and addresses with you for a programme to be produced specially and posted on to us.

The matter may have slipped your collective memories but, as of today's date, i.e. over three weeks later, neither I nor any of my fellow Boro supporters have received the programme we were promised and pre paid for.

I will leave it to others more erudite than myself to put a name to this situation.

My own opinion I will keep to myself.

Yours truly,

TBandG.

Richard 193, I live in the neighbouring village to Burnham, and I play for Burnham Ramblers...

TrueBlue&Gold - Sorry to hear about this. Our programmes are always generally published for all home games, however the problem with this, as is the same with most non league clubs, is that all jobs are left down to a couple of willing applicants...

I know people who work behind the scenes @ BRFC read the forum, so if they have read this, then I am sure they are looking into this for you...

If not, then I will print this off, and have a word with someone at the club.

Regards,

KJ

P.S - I like your first paragraph. Sweet.

It was an unusual arrangement R193 but they made the offer and we went along with it.

By the way Romford FC have just won the ESL top programme of the season award in case you are interested.

If you are a non league prog collector then I suggest that you PM Coupwotcoup for a copy of ours to be sent to you. There's a small fee involved I think.

I do worry.

Don't worry JP21. We'll open the condemned Portaloo for your lot on the day that should give them all the statutory factory act three square yards each. grin
