Some interesting points, Park Boy.

 

I take it BOY being the operative word.

 

There have always been issues between M.V.D.C. and DFC, as probably any football club using council owned land would tell you.

 

There are some under-lying issues here.

 

Point 1. Sainsbury's were going to 'develop' the North side of the High Street and had already bought The Malt House public house in anticiptaion of a great re-development. The Malt House, for the un-initiated lies right next to Meadowbank.

 

Sainsbury's could not meet S.C.C. fears over traffic increases, so M.V.D.C. told Sainsbury's they couldn't build a super-store in the town.

 

Point 2. You say your girlfriend works for M.V.D.C., and knowing they way they like to work, I can't help but wonder if you are being fed dis-information. I know for a fact that there has recently been a ground inspection by the owners, ie., your girlfriends employers. I was at the ground at the time.

 

I am NOT in a position to make any statements on this subject and would have thought you address your question direct to the club. I can say that this is the first I have heard about it.

 

I WILL, however, be in contact with certain people tonight to pass your comments over and I'm sure they will view them with interest and respond, if they deem a reply necessary.

Sainsbury's were never going to take over the pitch just the car park and build a new club house for Dorking by the gates, so what you say does not make sense and the ground has been run down for over 15 years not just the last 4-5 years.

 

The guy who was down doing an inspection was not for the benefit of the club but was a dilapidation report on the ground, the list on this is amazing.

 

You must be right though as everyone that works for a Council tells lies.

 

Interesting that the league are still being told that Sainsbury's are still go ahead with the developement, wonder who told them that.

You seem remarkably well informed on the details of the club inspection, Park Boy.

Almost too well informed.

 

I have been in communication with the 'powers that be'.

 

A statement will be forthcoming, HOWEVER, not at this time !

thats what i thought teffers , do they sort out the pitch and stuff for matchdays like marking out etc. or do you haveto do that .. anyway who you got saturday we are away to warlingham should be a good game ........

Yes Nuts the sort the pitch out ect, We are at home to Colliers Wood which will be a tough game (all are tough), hopefully we can get something out of it (we need too). Will be a tough game for Lammas at Warlingham, they like to put it into the channels getting the defence turned and run onto it.

Just please for JR that he now has an understanding of what is going on at the club as you said that I new nothing.

 

All this information could of been found out by anyone with half a brain.

 

Also looking at Companies House looks like the club are behind with their accounts, could it get an worse.

 

Would be interesting to know if Bookham new about any of this
