applause applause applause Well done uncle nice to see your holier than though attitude is still alive and kicking. That dispicable Coachy dared to mention that a big budget quite often helps teams to better results than then those with small budgets. I hope he hangs his head in shame.......of course you are quite within your rights to accuse him of being a facist dictator.

I'd stick with the duck if I was you, you was much funnier then [/quote

always alive and kicking lightweight....someone has to keep the embittered lost souls such as yourself on their toes....and just for the record I didn't accuse coachie of anything as he will tell you...

but don't let a little fact get in the way of your pent up hatred bile and envy....you never have before.... grin

am not talking about your national game, that will come under scrutiny in the next few years.Football played in italy in your national leagues is in serious trouble and should there be one more major incident then uefa will throw the book at your clubs, especially inter and roma although lazio have hardly covered themselves in glory when they were last in europe, they are probably more racist than any other team!

"am not talking about your national game"

that's how you get assessed.it's your national side wins and not a club that has 15 foreigner players and 2 english ones playing like inter, milan or man utd, chelsea and liverpool.i don't identify myself with a club like Arsenal that hasn't one English player in the starting line up.You are going back to the seventies when your national side failed to qualify for two world cups because the league was full of irish, scottish and welsh players.Just have a look at your top sides and you'll understand why England is struggling.English players is a kind in extinction.very worryng indeed frown

what i'm trying to say is:we have been through this in the nineties when Milan.Juve,Inter,Napoli,Lazio,Sampdoria,Fiorentina used to win everything in Europe with a team full of foreigners.the Dutch came to us and won the Euro 88,The Germans 1990,Brasil 1994,France 1998 and our national side struggled losing a world cup final, semifinal and a quarter final. What's happening in my country is a blessing in disguise because now our clubs are looking more at their youth sectors.Juventus in serie b has discovered that their youth team has plenty of good italian players and the same Lazio with a limited budget has been forced to look at players from serie b,or c and look where they are.Iremember the last time we closed to foreigner players we ended up 4th in argentina in 1978 and won the world cup in 1982.meditate lads, meditate smile

To be fair, that can't really be said about Man Utd last night...

They had Brown, Ferdinand, Carrick, Rooney, Smith and Richardson on the pitch, with Scholes and Neville in the stands, Throw in a Welshman (Giggs), a Scot (Fletcher) and an Irishman (O'Shea) plus a Scot manager (Fergie) and you have a fairly British Isles based outfit.

so the racist undertones are coming into it again,i as an arsenal fan couldn't give a toss where our players come from,we live in a multi cultural world nowadays, london is full of people who have come from other parts of the world to work,so why is it different with football. If someone plays for arsenal i couldn't give a toss where they come from and what colour they are,you out of everyone should realise that or does it not count with italians!

As for our national team i believe too much pressure is put on them and the F.a never appoint the right man,the appointed keegan & hoddle who were never going to be england managers.Saying that our record in the last 3 tournaments would suggest we are not far away as we have made the quater finals for the last 3 tournaments, being in the top 8 in the world is nothing to be ashamed of.

and you forget van der sar, heintze, vidic, ronaldo, saha, solskiaer, larsson.probably man utd are the side that have got a mix of it but the others...just speak portuguese, french and spanish in the changing rooms. That cannot be good, long term for football in this country. The national side is suffering because of this.Just look at how many English keepers in the premiership? They say it's a different world but i bet a brasilian or french youngster at the age of 17 is already playing top football to replace the ones that are in England,Spain or Italy.. frown no good mate

arsenal will not try to buy english players, chelsea and man utd have cornered the market on any decent players leeft with regards to that and we cannot afford to go into a bidding war with those two teams as we will not win

We had ashley cole but he got a bit greedy(seems to be a trait with our young players)

We have justin hoyte, england u21 who will play for the national team in years to come,if only to stand in for richards at man city

We were lucky to get theo walcott as he actually used his brain or was guided correctly into joining us and not chelsea where he would of rotted in reserves like shaun wright phillips who coincidently we tried to sign but wouldn't pay 25 million for and why should we.Is it any wonder why arsenal sign foreign players for pitance instead of players like wright phillips for 25 million or rooney for 30 million or rio ferdinand for 30 million!

with the exception of rooney i think fergie and mourinho have wasted money big time on those players!

There is a school of thought that says that the England players playing for the bigger clubs under-perform when playing for their country. And that we should maybe be looking at the players who play consistently well for their clubs and would bust a gut if honoured to be wearing the 3 lions. e.g. Joey Barton, Kevin Nolan etc.

This is not being racist,it's about safeguarding the identity of national football.I bet a lot of Arsenal supporters if they see a black fella in the street they would call him something but they wouldn't dare to say that to Henry,Gallas or Adebayor... smile
You must be one of the few people in this country happy about England achievements as a national side, suits yourself whistle

Calm down please boys

And by the way there are plenty of good english youngsters coming through, whether they get the chance to play in our first team is up to whether they are good enough, players like bently, sidwell etc etc are very good young players but they are not going to break into englands first team ahead of gerrard, lampard rooney etc etc.At arsenal if they are good enough they will come through as hoyte has done and pennant would of had he not got smashed and started driving round the chilterns one night!

of course as an england fan i would like to win things but we have players who have won champions league, league titles etc etc

The reason why we haven't won or at least got to a final is due to the coaching of the national team,it is nothing to do with the players for the most part, although someone like lampard did have a poor world cup.If anything it is due to the amount of games they play in the season. Our F.A.Cup is different from your italian cup,it is actually respected by our country among others and therefore the teams actually put extra effort in to win it,plus there are replays,we play more premier league games at a higher tempo than itlaian leagues.

We have the players, some of the best in the world but come tournament time they are usually tired after a long hard season but to say we struggle to bring players through our clubs is wrong as most clubs have players coming through and some are world class
