Although, I meant there should not be a them and us with supporters. And the them and us scenario between us and the club does not need generating, been there for a while.(I use the Jarvis signing saga as an example).

 

I am also not suggesting that the trust should not be questioned. Where did I say that? I said people should check facts and not come on here moaning and ranting. I have questioned the trust, and did say that the finishing of taking memebrships was handled badly. I have questioned the trust myself, on various things, but because I have just gone and asked the question, without going into one on here, have got an answer.

I did ask, I would have joined at the same time as Jenny but was in Hospital that day and did not go the game. After i was told i could not join i ask some board members why it was closed and they did not know it was closed, was it something Chris and Mark had done without telling anyone else?

i got fed up of reading this thread after reading less than half of it yesterday. its just going round in old circles we have been through before many times.

must agree with marcus we need to get the respective parties together by or at the end of the season to dicuss the next move for the club and trust.

one question, how do you get people to join in the closed season, who do you see to sign up. There has to be a close of membership as said before to audit the books, also if someone joins say at the end of april (if it was still open)they would have to rejoin again for the next season. So there may aswell be a gap just to get their moneys worth (this is my view it might not be the trusts) There are other things that are done in the closed season. ie the fun day to be organised and elections to organised ect. Also a break to recharge the batteries away from footy to start afresh the next season.

Mark, if people wish to sign up in April, make them aware that their membership will need to be renewed in a few months and leave the option to them. In theory, it's a very easy, and good, ten pounds for the Trust to make, especially if the new members are being fully aware they will need to renew again soon.

Sorry everyone ..we have closed our membership for 27 years while they has been an association or a trust ..That was a fact that has beeb editing and minuted in our meeting notes ..

 

nothing sinister I think this has been blow up out of all proportions....

 

I admit next time maybe we should have handled it better! Taken his money then ask him again in one months time for another 10 pounds or told him his membership will start again in one months time......

 

but the utter crap we did this for the sake of annoying Roger ..is distrubing to say the least...

 

apologies to Roger... if it seamed that way , but it was not our intention to be that way !

as I said we have done this for over 27 years and in fact in the old days membership used to close in January !

Secondly as has been said the memebership has been closed for a bit to audit send out stuff to see where we are etc etc. Fairy snuff, It has been said you can join at fun day which is in a few weeks.

 

1) Chris: Someone should said told that membership would not be accepted from now til end of season

 

2) Rog: Why the big hassle to join now, i know that it has been possible to join since pre-season.

 

Anyway, as said again, thsi back biting is getting irritating if anyone has any constructive view on how the trust can be improved air your feelings, dont swipe at people personally. Ive got a lot of time for both you guys but this is just getting pathetic.
