Thanks Martin, can I surgest that at the next board meeting you clarify the legal status and responsibilitis to the board memebers, and the legal & financial reporting requied by a trust so that all are aware.

This may have looked negative but it is actually me trying to help the trust get their house in order if the need to take over the running of the club(a Limited Company) happens.

Just the sort of experience needed. I look forward to you joining the trust and, in due course, offering yourself for election to help run the trust and carry out the day to day tasks that the board members get little thanks for. wink

Staines rebel - (clive)

A day away from the message board and more problems from you !

I have just spent 12 hours one way or another / getting a newsletter /AGM requirements and election nomination forms / membership re newals all for next season... This all has to be done in advance and I need to know before sending these out how membership closed for the previous season / accounts against the membership tied up and that all members get the correct information for the forthcoming elections procedurers ( all takes time while I have been working the last 10 days at work)

We are unpaid people and are certainly not professionals and we are still learning, but you keep going on about things being done properley and correctly...Well we can only do out best ! and are very open to new blood and expertise . (dont have a problem at all with that) With all the talk around Ashford today that we may have about 6-8 people wanted to stand for elections this year ..will make it very interesting,... I need a rest from 27 years (service years to our cause and its supporters) this is just what we need....

As for the point about (board room) decisions all I meant is that after a vote which ever which way it goes , should be a vote as cast , not telling people how the board members voted) this only leads to members of the board being vilified as it seams some have been ! especially on this message board...Its not a question of secrets !

Now Coach Travel:

Tender subject ..yes maybe a subsidy towards losses , but over the past 27 years we have run coaches , we have made few losses but in general we break even and provide a service to members and non board members (who pay an additional charge) for a seat...its there for people not fortunate to be able to drive and also if an extra 20- 30 supporters can make a match ..all the better...We will look into ways to try and reduce the costs

but our coaches costs are very reasoable and competitive... we getting a 52 seater for the price of a 21 seater !

anyhow I am looking forward to seeing new blood on the trusts board this year !

FYI board members up for re election are :

Martin McCabe

Mark Radford

Dominic Ashford

Colin Atkins (treasurer)

Chris Sliski (secretary)

nomination have to be returned by 1st June , incase we have to have postal votes: which will be done by an independant ajudicator (Dulwich Hamlet supporters trust ) in our case..

So clive again we are trying to do our best..and if our best is not good enough ..welcome to join (nest season) and then do something about it... (it sounds like we need you for your experience)

Chris Sliski

STST secretary

There are some paranoid people on here. Jesus, this is Slough , nothing ever runs smoothly.

Every one seems to think there is a them and us.

Yes, The TRUST has shut early, which is daft. But to make it some massive cover up/conspiracy!? Why not ask (this means talk, not shout) people to their faces.

People coming on slagging off making accusations and then wondering why the said people bite.

I have known Chris for many years. I have been a trust member since day 1. But, i do not agree with everything he says, and we do disagree. For example we disagree heavily on our feelings towards two certain people high up in the club, and we argued about the signing of jamie jarvis.

To say the Trust is full of Chris's 'yes' men is very disrespectful to people Like mike Lightfoot, etc. Not every motion he puts forward at trust meetings get carried, and I myself at the AGM said there was a problem (for me) with the George Green plot, directly against his views.

Before the Ashford game, someone said to me that the TRUST expects to just pick up the Club and like a knight in shining armour save the club and turn it all around if Deaner/Roy goes? I actually asked her where she heard that....and she finally admitted that she hadn't heard this from anywhere.......so where do these stupid ideas spring from??? (HERE MAINLY) Anyone who had been to a trust meeting would know that , if anything, for the Trust, taking over is the last resort, and something that would be a long and difficult job.

Instead of coming on here and believing every crappy forum remark, why not ask someone who has been to these meetings what they have heard? I am a supporter who is a trust member. I'm not on the board and don't always agree with the trust, so, i feel i could give an opinion, or the facts I have heard.

You have so many years to join the Trust and now, because everyone has realised there is an election coming up, you want to join..or have I missed something? You don't trust the trust(!), well if you joined earlier you could have found out more about the running, been at meetins, made your points, put people up for election.

We all know that this has been a $hit season, and all the other clubs say what great support we have....if thay came on here they may feel different!

YES. The trust has handled the end of membership thing poorly, but the chance is there to join on the Fun day. There will be personality clashes, that is life. We amy not all agree on the same point time after time. BUT we must stop all this them and us Bollox! For the Support of SLOUGH TOWN, we should just be US!

Instead of arguing with other supporters, we should be asking The Club where has the raffle money gone(£500), and what have the raffle sponsors. ie Tummies been told...

All this bickering gets us at each others throats when, especially now, we supporters be trying as one.

I was happy with both results over the weekend, and was looking forward to reading all about the games I had seen on here, instead I jut get more depressed with all this bickering, and I remember why I don't come on here as much as I used to.
