I tried to join the trust today and was told i could not,I was told that it was closed to new members. I have spent the last 2 hours looking through the Supporters Trust handbook but was unable to find the rule, can anyone tell me why. I have thought of forming a new Trust Slough's Heroic Independent Trust or S.H.I.T. for short if anyone would like to Join me.

I did not realise that it was a members only trust where you had to be invited to join, and that the high priests limited those coming in to ensure loyalty and protect their position.

You could ask Gary if he would like to join, as he was turned away by the trust too - I guess they have all the money they need to support the clubs demands and ensure a finacially sound future.

You can have my £10 for S.H.I.T as I know it will be used well - we will have to come up with our own secret handshake!

What the hell are you on about ! you have had 9 months to join this year....every year for over 27 years since we are a association or a trust we have always closed our membership early ,

For the reasons below..

1st Not any value to the new joins..

2nd I am already preparing our end of year (newsletter and election forms) which will be posted out next week !

3rd No problem for you to join on the fun day, when membership opens again for next season and this will allow you to attend the agm , but as new members you will not be able to add yourselves to the election bids or second or propose elections candidates, and you have to be members for over 1 year to include yourselves for this year.

Its not a new thought up scheme...we have always had to do this ...

Its really nice that you have woke up to our numerous calls for membership ! we have campaigned for over 9 months this season plus and numerous tannoy announcements and programme notes and requests or have you all forgotten where the supporters HQ ..is....

If you want a copy of our rules this available to our members for a cost of 10 pounds each with a stamped addressed envelope to the STSA registered address..

But how can anyone obtain the copy of the rules at the cost of £10 to members, if as in your above post membership is closed?

However the trusts rules state nothing about closing memebership for 3 months, so this looks very much like the trust using "rules" to suit its own whims!

Also one minute you want to put candidates foward to local elections and the next you want to withdraw him as the club (Dearner and Merryweather) say not to? - I thought the trust was inderpendent of the club?

The trust is a joke!!!! and that is why I would never rejoin it!

However whilst the trust acts in the same haphazard way as the club, the future of football for Slough Town next season looks as distant as ever.

Surely we are enough in the mire with the supporters argueing so openly among yourselves?

Both sides have a point--perhaps its best sorted out on the terraces rather than providing the Express with another thread they can misuse.

Roger you can contact the supporters direct all you like ! Our rules are open and fully accountable , its nothing to do with supporters direct what our rules state ...

How do you think I can get all the election papers out to member and if we have more than 5 people standing we have to go to a postal vote and another election, this has to be scruitied by other parties (out side of the trust) We normally if required have an understanding with Dulwich Trust to undertake this task ! This has to be done before the AGM so we can ensure all our members can vote.

If you feel that strong about giving money to the trust ..make a donation...it will be recorded on the Trust Membership and once you join this ammount will be added to your membership details.

The rules have been in place for 5 years now...

As for the elections that was a matter for the board to decide it was left open from the EGM no votes were proposed or seconded about putting people in for election (I did not see you all come rushing in to help on the last 3 occassions )

I can not understand why it has taken you so long to actually join the trust ? and why your again having a go when things are quite clear and that supporters HQ is always manned to ask questions yet you want to stir things up WHY?

The rules can have common sense as well and surley you know we have only 3 weeks to go to the end of the season and we also have to close our books as these need to be audited and sent off to the FSA, i can not understand why your so uptight and getting to the stage where you have to pick holes and have a go ..its quite unbeliveble...

If you had joined at the beging of the season you could have got a copy. You say you can't get a copy, but you say membership is closed for 3 months, how do you know this if you don't know the rules, any way it's only closed for about 1 month.

Second point, there is a member sanding Domonic so you got that wrong to you need to get your facts right before you come on here shouting off

To answer Clives point about matters that were in the board room and you have been given to take information from a board member just shows how things can be tittle tattled and some can not be trusted ...

Also this was boards decision - and we all have our own minds and if we listern to both side of the debate and have a more details understanding of the problem , we then vote on it !

You have no idea of the outsides pressure from one side and the other side - the new developer of the george green site wanted us to stay out of politics and this would have paved a way forward with an all party agreement and inclusion of a board member to the new talks and all matters would have been minuted , this was an olive branch that was worth taking in light that our situation, its very difficult to balance what is fact and what is fiction sometimes and we may be lead a merry dance to all..but if they had failed us this time , then next year we could field candidates in all seats and do it properly this time... but I felt we should give them one last chance, but quite clearly this is not what other board members wanted and this vote should have been told to you so you can come on here and give me blasting... things change and can at times be very difficult to balance what is right and what is wrong.
