just an afterthought from yesterday,i don't want to sound as if i am picking at things but i was dissapointed that more "urchins" didn't get up to wivenhoe,ok we may well turn out in force on monday for canvey at home but i think we should of had 250 plus up at wivenhoe to see us crowned champions and in all fairness there was probably no more than 150.Considering the support we had on a tuesday at southend for the cup i think the away support in terms of numbers not voice was pretty poor.

I only hope that we didn't lose a good few to dagenhams promotion party as that would not bode well for next season!

It being the Easter weekend doesn't help in terms of crowds. Alot of people go away for the weekend or spend time with their relatives.

fair enough but i am sure some of our fans had a sneak over to dagenham as it was closer and that don't sit well with me,i know others yesterday said they thought we would of had another 100 up there at least

Was over at Dagenham yesterday and didn't see anybody I recognised from Hx. Wivenhoe isn't that far to get to so a bit sad if some people chose to go to Dagenham rather than watch your game.

i know there were a few regulars from the eastside who were absent yesterday,i just think that they saw the wivenhoe game as a guaranteed win and thought they would go and see a bit of history made at victoria road,i know alot of fans from upminster who support west ham/arsenal etc etc done just that.I just think that next season if the big div 2 sides are playing at dagenham will the floaters go to watch them instead of following hornchurch,just hope that our crowds don't suffer because of it

Not so sure It will affect your home crowds but might affect how many you take away.

 

Rremember you'll be travelling greater distances in the Ryman Premier and there'll be those who may not fancy trips to Worthing, Folkestone etc for whatever reason and may pitch up at Dagenham on occasions.

Well I would never do that, even living up in Wivenhoe I would still rather come down to The Bridge than watch Wivenhoe or Col U. Might be a bit difficult next year though for some away games, those mentioned by YELLOW !!

i can't wait for those sort of games,they are all "beano" games wwith a good potential ay out and 3 points in the bag with a happy drink fuelled coach journey home!

Well done...but the Rymans Prem has different animals than before...AFC,Chelmo,Bromley,Hampton,Rickay at least three of these will be there next year.When you play them you are in effect jumping two leagues,because all of them are a different class already.

i think we can more than hold our own,we have beaten harrow and borehamwood and the borehamwood game was more than impressive we took welling to two legs in the f.a,cup and didn't look out of our depth,as with any club you look to the summer to see if the squad can be strengthend but i shouldn't think too many players are needed and it would be nice to see some young lads coming through

As much as there are teams such as AFC, Bromley, Billericay etc, there are also a lot of average teams in that league. When you look at the Ryman 1 North league table it is clear that Hornchurch have been well ahead of the pack this year, maybe even playing at a Ryman Prem standard. I'm sure you'll have quite a comfortable top half finish at the least.

Any team entering any competition, league or cup, tries to win, if not they are not doing themselves justice.

I too think we have a team that can compete at that level, the football is better, refs a better standard and the pitches better.

We showed in the Borehamwood, Harrow and Welling games that we have the players. The set up is there, so let's give it a real go, now we are up there's plenty to talk about.
