You boys are going through want we went through when we went from the Dr Martins league to the top of the Conference in a short period of time all be it we were only top for 24hrs but we were. I will admit that you have done superb for a team with little money and built a reputation as a team that can be hard to beat , but next season will be a differant story , if you can do it again well done if you can`t this is where it will hit you hard not being able to achieve what you did this season.

Success in football only lasts for a little while so enjoy yours while it lasts , we as Margate fans have some great memories over the last few yrs on the pitch , they can`t be taken away from us , so enjoy yours they could end tommorow. Up the Gate .

I have wanted to get this of my chest for the last year and a half and thanks to your pathetic comment i have done it.

Face it Ollie you are jealous of Margate like the rest of Ramsgate and i think it is sad, that Ramsgates greatest ever achievement is to finish above Margate. GET A LIFE.

as for being jealous, no mate (i'll call you mate as i feel a great connection between us). yes youve got more fans and more money than us but you forget, most of our players have come from sunday football and the kent league beeing watched by a man and his dog. we play for the respect and the belief of our fans. we are not only a team, we are a bunch of mates that will fight and die for each other on and off the pitch,(excuse the irony of being so called thugs and holligans). this is the difference between us. how much passion and honour do your players play with, or are they more bothered about picking up their wages at the end of the game.

maybe mick, and i say maybe, you are the ones that are jealous. you've only got to look at what we've acheived in the last 3 years to aprreciate that off the pitch, yeah we are not as big as margate, but on the pitch we are level par with you.

and yes it would be a great acheivement to finish above you in our first year in the same league, that just shows how far we have come as little old ramsgate.

anyway my new buddy, my old pal, i'll see you tomorrow at 3pm



No real jealousy from either side as I see it. Just a REAL local rivalry now, there is a BIG difference. There does seem to be a view from some Margate fans that they have a God given right to win this league and get back to where they 'belong', however those Conny days are a fading memory and the sooner people face the reality of the situation the better. Gate need to build a sustainable SQUAD like the Rams have, rather than 11 good players that are injury prone for a one-off crack at the title. Margate team has been thrown together, Rams squad has been together for years- as long as players stay put Ramsgate will do as well, probably better next season. Margate however will probably change manager and be back to square one.
Rams finish 6th, 7th or 8th and are gracious, Margate do the same and it's off with Trott's head!!

Doesn't matter who is on what money, if the play offs are unobtainable then the next goal for both teams is to finish as high as possible in the league surely? If that's not the goal then there is a player attitude problem. I know every Rams fan and probably player wants to finish as high as possible and that means above Gate- for this reason tomorrow is still a MASSIVE game for Rams fans at least.

Alex this is not jealousy- just a bit of good healthy competition!

Yes, can see the bit about some fans thinking we should win the league - was nice while it lasted but I believe (that's believe, not 'god given right' lol) that we should at least make the play-offs. I for one will be very disappointed if we do not. We actually do have a reasonable squad but various issues surrounding certain players and the manager mean't that we have not used it to its full advantage.

I am an exile and therefore cannot regularly see the 1st team at home or the reserves and others so this is purely my observations!!

As someone who watches both teams. I have to say Ollie Schulz would be an excellent signing for Margate. And there are a few others like Yianni as well.

I think most genuine Margate fans would love to see them playing for the Gate next seaon.
And most would like to see a more passionate team and manager.

I roughly agree with your post, but we should be doing better then what we are and we should not be performing badly game after game as we have been for the last 2 months. We are a club who has high ambitions and we should be challenging for the title and for 3/4 of the season we were and at the last hurdle we bottled it and that is what most Gate fans are angry about.

I know a lot of Ramsgate fans think that we are arrogant because we say that we should be in the conference and i don't think the fans mean it in a way that we were demoted from the conference for not having a ground. Had we had a ground that was fit for the conference i think we would have been in the conference still and maybe challenging to get into the football league, but sadly this is not the case


As for you Ollie i am glad i brought tears to your eyes, but i was angry with Margate and then i read your post i thought that i can get rid of my anger on you. Didn't work as i am still pissed off

Cheers for the tip mate, i wasn't too sure if i needed to GET A LIFE or not, but now an inbred has told i need to GET A LIFE i will get one.
