Trotty & Ward on KMFM 9.30 a.m today

Poor old Wardy. Old age must be getting to him. He thinks they took 150 to Billericay. They actually took a minibus and a few cars. More like 50 according to the ginger one. And 8 out of those 50 were singing. Don't let the truth get in the way of a good story Jim.

For those of you who missed it or could not get it further afield:

In terms of injuries Trotty is the only partial doubt with a hamstring problem, so not sure if he will play tomorrow.

He also said that he will be going along to Southwood to see the game today, but thought a draw would be the best result from a Gate point of view.

In terms of the Chelmsford-Hampton game today he would prefer Chelmsford to win as Hampton have games in hand.

Finally Trotty said he hoped there would be a big crowd at Hartsdown on Monday.

Not really.Trotty isnt the best of speakers.Spoke mainly about the large gate anticipated on Monday & how the reciepts from it will help the club.By the sound of it Trotty might well figure on Monday rather than tomorrow though he never actually said he would be fit for either but there was something in his words to suggest one or the other might be manageable.Hamstring & nerve in his leg but not TOO serious. He was praising Wardy & his team more than anything else,(quite rightly too if we are being honest).

Nice touch from Wardy in that he generally goes over to his fans(whether that be 3 or more(4)? l.o.l.)to thank them for making the effort.Dosent mind signing autographs(though I personally cant see that being in the forefront of the fans minds at the time).Still, nice that he can be bothered to go over to the fans though on a person to person basis rather than thanking them from the centre of the pitch.(I know, different people have different ways of showing their gratitude).Trotty hopefully will show us his by getting a result on Saturday & on Monday. No better way to do it i.m.o. than by results on the pitch.A win on Monday will be all the thanks I need from him. That will do nicely.(Must not underestimate tomorrows game though,it must be said.We still have to win that one first before we can really focus on Mondays game)

Things don't always work out the way we wish them to Rob.For a "rookie" manager he has done fine. Its still not over yet & we could sneak into that last play-off place yet.Not going to be easy, obviously, but he might STILL give us something that us fans, he & the board where hoping for.I think if he DID get us through into the play-offs I think he might warrant another season here and as I have said even if the targets aren't met he has still done the best he can with the budget restraints he has had forced upon him.If we end up underachieving all round then we just have to look to next season to put things right thats all.Whether it be with him at the helm or someone else we will have to see.
But hey!,we are STILL in with a shout of this seasons play-off place & promotion so I will say no more.
Still anyones place for the taking Rob.
Good luck today.I think a draw will be good for us but whatever you do don't let them win it!

Stop with the clever dick bit again Rob.Its not necessary.

Its a "fact" whether you like to hear or believe it or not.He spent his budget early on & got some talented if not youthful players in to do the job.Of course we cry out for more talented players to strengthen the squad more but if the club deems no more money above that that was on offer at the beginning of the season isn't available then good on them for not wanting to get into that financial trap yet again.

Trotty put all his eggs into one basket so to speak & he may live regret doing so but its not proven yet that he was indeed wrong to do that.

If it dosen't work out that we get our desired outcome then so be it.We will all be disappointed,of course we will & we should have done better, its true, but if it isn't to be it isn't to be. Life goes on!

People will look at our squad and think yeah we should be doing better, then if you really look into it we have a manager who is learning and more importantly we don't have a strong squad in depth. RAMSGATE WILL CRASH AND BURN NEXT SEASON.
